View Full Version : Is there a way to see what your SavedSims files are?

Since my SavedSims folder is full of lovely filenames like "3da7643c0_9f53b6547," I am looking for a way to see what they are so I can rename them. (I have Theo's Alt Sims Surgery hack from MATY, and I obviously need to see which sim template to slap on the patient sim!) I've searched and searched and I haven't found an answer yet. I tried opening the SavedSims files in SimPE and CleanInstaller, but there's no indication as to which file corresponds to which sim template I made. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

My only idea would be to take most of them out, then look at the one that's left in Body Shop. But if you have more than 2 or 3, you might not want to spend that much time. I believe that Body Shop shows them in chronological order, but I'm not sure. (If it does, then you just need to see how many sims are on the list in front of the one you want, then organize Saved sims chronologically and count down from the top to find yours. But, as I said, I'm not sure that they really are sorted in chronological order.

Can you see the images when you run the Clean Installer? The Clean Installer will allow you to rename files if you can identify them.

@ Ghost: The thought did cross my mind, but I have 40 of them, and that would take forever. Body Shop shows the sim templates in reverse chronological order (newest to oldest), so I could probably figure it out that way. Maybe checking the dates on the files will help.
@ Mootilda: Unfortunately, no images come up when I go through the files in the SavedSims folder in CleanInstaller. It shows the filename, type ("Face Preset") and in the description box it says "Faces of sims". All of them are the same.
