I want to set up a tomb with a puzzle in it. It's actually a game of Simon Says (y'all remember that old electronic game, Simon?) Here is what I WANT to happen ...
Set up for the room
you walk in and there is a row of 5 lights, all turned on, all white. There are also 5 floor holes that do nothing when you initially explore them but each is colored a different color. There is a pressure plate on the floor.
You step on the pressure plate.
The lights flash in a predetermined order.
You look at the floor holes and realize you must reproduce the pattern.
If you get it wrong nothing happens. You step back on the plate to make the lights flash again.
You get it right and another light lights up.
You repeat this process with 4 more patterns to clear the challenge and open the door on your quest through the tomb.
HOW do I set up the triggers for this. As in- how do I set up the logic gates to do it with the fewest number of processors possible. I can think of a way to do it, but I'll need a whole bunch of processors. I want to minimize what I have to use.
Here's the deal - don't link me the Tomb Bulding:The Processor TS3Wiki tutorial. That doesn't help me much since I'm really BAD at figuring things out just from brief descriptions. If you can walk me through the process for the first pattern (say, 2 lights that flash in sequence, one blue and one green), then I can take it from there.
Can any one help me?
