Is this a new feature? (star discovery-related)

Ok, I never really bothered with TS3 astronomy, but yesterday I tried it somewhat seriously... And discovered a cute little feature. If a xtar name you typed is similar to a name of one of your family members (Like "Agatha" and "Agathia") a pop-up appears and a memory of naming a star after someone is added.

Memory part is definitely new, but is the whole thing GEN-specific? I didn't experiment with this feature yet, so I'm not sure if it has any other effects and if it also works on sims' friends/lovers/strangers.

I think it is, I never saw it til my legacy Sim named a star after her husband and they got a memory for it

It isn't a Generations feature. You've been able to discover stars and name them since base game, I think. I could be mistaken.

I meant naming them after persons part :) BTW, yes, I just tried it with a random sim my astronomer didn't even know - memory still appears. whether there are any other effects I still can't tell. It's also interesting what kind of permutations are recognized. (It recognized Agatha - Agathia and Jun -Junia in my game, so you can add at least two letters either in the middle or at the end...)
