Model not showing up

My first poor attempts at trying to mesh. I have exported some simgeom files to work with in Milkshape to get the basics of meshing but the problem is that they all look the same and it doesn't matter what kind of hair type I export!

I have attached a screenshot of how the meshes look like in Milkshape and having looked at several meshing tutorials there seems to be something awfully wrong since the lower right window doesn't animate the finished mesh at all.

Go to File/preferences ,
At the popup window choose the Misc tab
Change the joint size to 0.010000
The blue lines is the skeleton.

If you want to completly hide the skeleton go to the joints tab(right upper corner) and untick ''show skeleton''

Thank you BloomsBase, I can't believe it was something as simple but that's what you get when you work with 3D modeling for the first time :(
