Contest or Challenge?

Challenges are a self-scored, goal-oriented style of gameplay that the player may attempt at any time. Classic Sims 2 challenges include the Legacy, the Apocalypse, and the Asylum. Anyone is welcome to post Sims 2 challenges to this forum, so long as they follow the same ongoing style.

Contests are judge-scored, time-based competitions in which a winner is determined from several contestants. To protect contest participants, who put a lot of effort into playing, MTS has rules designed to see that contests are successfully and fairly completed. Please see those rules in the Contest forum.

Any posts in the TS2 challenges forum that include a time limit or voting or scoring other than self-evaluation by the person playing the challenge will be deleted.

sorry for maybe wrong part of forum but i dont know where to post it. so, my questions is Where and if it is possible to do some challenges exemple, in building houses, so we can go to some competitions with that hous?? and Where to put some of my hand crated house for download or just for put it on site and see what people think about it? and Please if someone know better also can write it to me in inbox or in here!

I believe that you might be looking for the Create -> Creator Feedback forum. There, you can post pictures of your house and other people will tell you what they think about it and make suggestions on improving it.

Are there any rules against challenges where participation is encouraged, and stories picked as 'favorites' that result from the challenge are given a prize (say, a recolor-set of their choice on any mesh?) based on content and creativity? Or does that fall into the category of contest?

I have something that isn't really a challenge OR a contest but rather a request for something that currently doesn't seem to exist. Or if it does, I can't find it. The problem is that I don't know who - as in a particular creator - may be able or willing to make what I need. So, I'm looking for a place I can put up a general call for help as it were.

Obviously, this isn't the right board for it but I can't seem to find a good place for it, even in the Sims Creativity area. So, I thought I'd find handy a mod post and ask.

Is there any place for that kind of thing? :help:

You need to check through 'Creators who take requests' and pm one of those who you think might be able to take on your request. It's on the wcif section, but rather obscure and hard to find. http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=392615
