My Pit Beast is Gone

In my last quest I noticed my pit beast is gone. There is none of its usual noise growls, no one being thrown in and the plank has no interactions. I started a new quest and the beast is still missing, Any ideas why this is happening?

I had a similar issue, but the thing missing in my game was my tavern :|
I had to go back to a previous save where it magically re-appeared. I haven't had anything missing since.

I don't know what caused it, though. Doubt it was due to installing and updating for Pirates & Nobles as it only happened with that one kingdom out of three that I play.

I do wonder, though, what could be causing your issue as they both might be related. A mod, something in the last patch, who knows *shrug*
