I've been looking for an mmorpg to play that is free. I've played a decent amount so theres a chance I might of played it before. I don't like ones that are all clicking.
I'm planning on playing lotro. is that any good?

I've heard LotRO and Perfect World are good ones.

I used to play Perfect World. I got totally sucked into it for about a year - what a waste of time. Would not recommend that existence to anyone, particularly where the game is not even any good. The management is awful, and though the game IS "free", if you want to actually have good gear, you pretty much NEED "zen" (which you buy with real money). It is possible to get epic weapons and armour without paying a cent, but you are looking at months and months of repetitive, boring work. I hate to think of how much money I pissed away into that game.

You could try Guild Wars, it's pretty fleshed out and has been disigned as a buy-box-free-to-play game from the start.

If you want something else then maybe DC Universe Online, I've quite enjoyed it and it recently added a FTP model.

And then of course you can play WoW for free up to level 20.

there's a really good one called spiral knights which is like a mmo 2d zelda except without the puzzles and items (although there are small puzzles in the game)

you can get it for free on steam or play it on the spiral knights website

there's also another one on steam called rusty hearts but it's a bit weird for an mmo and it's a love or hate game

Gaia online is pretty good. Weird, but good. Even though to be able to get the really really good stuff, you need to pay real money, or become a premium member. Instead of choosing your own weapon, you automatically get a gun (at least, I haven't seen/heard of any other weapons you can get) which is a bit different from other MMORPGs I have seen, but I'm more of a sword girl myself. I haven't played in a while...
EDIT: You can also have fish, and there is a racing minigame thing, I think.

Pirates of the Burning Sea is free to play now. And due to the fun ship fights it is also less repetitive than most MMORPGs.

You could try the ones from gPotato, like Rappelz.
Or Silkroad, Mu online.

You may enjoy Age of Conan if you are a bit bored of the standard MMO setup. A much more active combat system where you don't just spam abilities. It is a bit of a PC hog though so if you are running on quite an old system you may not have the grunt to get enjoyable performance from it.
