Just need to ask the community for help about a question. I have permission to edit a mesh of a helmet that is in accessories. When I extract the proper mesh (I think, GMDC) all I get is the glasses mesh and no helmet to be seen. Am I doing something wrong or this is just the way it is? I there a way to view and edit the post made mesh? I have been through the three Tutorials and have enjoyed them very much, is there one one editing an accessories mesh? I noticed there are a few on creating a new accessory but haven't found one one editing an accessory mesh.....
Thanks in advance.....

If it's a custom mesh, are you opening the mesh file in SimPE straight away, or going to Bodyshop, creating a project and then importing it and using the extracting tool? Because if it's the second, you'll get the mesh the origibal creator used to make the helmet - in this case, the glasses. Anyway, when you select the GMDC file, look at the plugin details. There should be a preview button you can use to be sure you're extracting the right mesh. :)

Thank you very much for your response and I have used the recolour that is in SavedSims as suggested by the Tuts. I have extracted the mesh (GMDC) and imported it into milkshape an I keep getting a glasses mesh not anything that looks like a helmet?

If you're doing everything like the tutorial says, you're probably importing a game mesh (GMDC), which is why it still looks like glasses.
Open your custom mesh (not the recolour) package in SimPE. Extract that GMDC by right clicking on it and choosing "Export". That's the file you want to open and edit in MilkShape.
