I like watching shows on Netflix frequently.....particularly TV series that maybe I never got in to or didn't know about. Anyway, so recently, I started watching "Merlin" which was a TV series (not sure what channel it came on) that lasted for 3 seasons. (2008-2010)
I've only watched about the first 4 or 5 episodes, but it's so funny how I'm seeing things from the game all over this show! The people who developed this game, had to have gotten some of their inspiration from this show because things are just TOO similar!
* A kid in the stocks with people throwing tomatoes at his face
* In one episode, a stranger came into town claiming to have a "cure all" potion. (Eastern Promises quest)
* There's a scary cave outside of Camelot where Arthur had to go to find a rare flower that only grew there. But he had to watch out for the cockatrice so they wouldn't get him.
* There's the forest outside the gates of Camelot where certain "quests" take place.
* The bottles of all the different potions in the show actually look like the potions used in the game.
* One of the potions that the physician gives out is called "Sleeping Draught."
* One of the other potions the physician gives out is supposed to get rid of a hangover. (Drunk-Me-Not)
* They had a tournament with all the knights and knights coming from other territories to participate.
* There are several "bad" wizards in the show who put spells on people.
* The alchemy set on the show looks exactly like the one in the game.
* One episode portrayed a strange plague that all the people in Camelot were getting.
Anyway, I know there are several other things that I'm not remembering right now....but it is sorta funny that several of the episodes seem to portray a similar quest in the game. It's fun trying to pick out the similarities and figure out which quest came from a certain episode. I feel like I'm watching Sims Medieval on TV! :lol:
