Inactive Sims Question

Do inactive sims buy furniture? Like what if they have a baby and they don't have a crib/bed for him/her.

No, they don't buy furniture. In the unmodded game, it doesn't seem to matter whether there are cribs or not in a lot- the sims will still breed provided you have a low enough population.

In a modded game though this may change- for example, both Twallan's SP and Awesomemod have settings that can make sims only breed if cribs are available.

I don't know of a mod that will make sims buy furniture- although a few will allow them to buy cars and bikes.

Just to clarify : [StoryProgression] does not stop breeding if there are no cribs in the home.

The mod merely tries to move families to a cribbed-out home once they become pregnant.
