I got 1000 simpoints for registering my game and I'm wondering what I should buy with them. I was wondering if there is anything you have purchased from the Sims Store that you are so glad you did?
So if you had 1000 SimPoints and hadn't yet purchased anything from the Sims Store, what would you buy??

Deep Fryer and Ice Cream Maker. That would take your whole 1000, but should be a lot of fun.

Except they only come as part of the Fiesta Pack, which includes kitchen and dining room stuff, and is 1,800 points. They'll probably unbundle them in the future, though.

If I were you, I'd go into the decor or building section, and spend the simpoints there.
1000 simpoints will buy you a good amount of things...
I'm talking about those things in build mode, where you are like "....man, I really wish I had a...."
Maybe you get a few different ceiling or wall mounted lights.
A few themed doors or windows.
Pillars or archways.
Beds, sofas, chairs, etc.
The list goes on.
I always wish I had more options when it comes to furnishing or decorating a room.
But thats just me :)

I would go for premium content, personally, since it adds new functionality.

Speaking of store contents, when I first saw this item called "Sizzle Baby Pro Deep Fryer", I thought that it's a mod that allows you to deep-fry babies.
It would be worth buying if it were, but since it was not...

To be perfectly honest, most of that stuff doesn't do it for me. But I got gifted this item (http://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?&productId=OFB-SIM3:38566&categoryId=&scategoryId=11960&ppcategoryId=&gender=female&startAt=15) from my friend. At first, I thought it was a little useless but I can honestly say that when a Sim of mine grew up having the hair, I could not stop loving him. Now if only I could figure out how to make it applicable to girls too, I think I would honestly swoon. C:

I'd get a crap ton of decor stuff, but that's mostly only because I absolutely love clutter. Most of the decor are only about 25 simpoints anyway, so you'll be able to get a ton of them.
Also, do not get any store hair unless you really, really like them. Never judge them from the pictures in the store alone. Like all EA hairs, they are mostly crap. Still, the store does have a few priceless hairs that I really adore. Usually, the shorter ones.

At the simvip website, she has pictures of what the store hairs look like. I always go there to check before buying any store hair.

Definitely the tablet computer, that is so interesting-looking!

My favorite thing I bought in the Store was the wedding set. It has beautiful objects, perfect for a wedding venue. I don't have the full apparel set, but I can tell you some of the wedding dresses that I do have are absolutely gorgeous - especially for EA! But the set will mostly only be useful if, like me, you enjoy having weddings & building wedding venues.
Some other purchases I've really enjoyed:
- Any child/toddler item. I really hate the ones the game provides, and it's hard to find CC ones that I like (they're probably out there, but I can't find them, anyway.) The ones in the store are very attractive & fit almost any kids' room.
- Simple, versatile objects & decor. I have a couple couches I use in nearly every house I build, and some of the deco items can be used all the time as well.
- Some of the premium items look really good, though I haven't bought any myself. And many of the build items are quite useful (especially if building is all you do, like me. hehe)

I'm in a similar position: I still have my points from registering base + WA and until recently nothing took my interest -- now, I'm seriously considering the baby dangler, deep fat fryer, ice cream maker, and tablet computer (well, when the last three are available separate, anyway).

Save your points...and wait for the tablet, deep fryer and ice cream maker are sold individually. Those 3 items are AWESOME....the sets they come with, not so much.

The baby swing, if you like playing families. I am currently stuck like glue to the tablet, it is very useful. Allows skilling while doing other things, like while my sim gardens they will have the bluetooth on and learn logic. Children can do homework on it too. When completed and your sim have those 2 wishes, they are done and you can move on. The tablet is not available for sale individually right now.
