Hello,

I wanted to change the skintone of one of my sims. I used Sim Surgery to change his skin tone (using another child, male sim). When I loaded the game it did not look like the change had taken place, so I went to the mirror and suddenly the changes appeared. However, the skintone change had only taken place on his head, the rest of his body is his old skintone. After searching a bit online I saw some suggestions saying to change the skintone directly in the sim's DNA. I did that and his body still won't change. Any suggestions?

Try fix tans and burns under the bat Box. That should fix it if it's a glitch. If it's badly made skin or skin not made for that age range you will just have to remove it.

If that doesn't work try making the Sim shower. Sometimes that can cause skintone changes to take place. It's helped me in the past.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried fix tans and burns and taking a shower, neither of them worked. Perhaps the skintone isn't fit for kids, I'll have to see if it changes when he ages up.

I've had this before, I had to manually extract the sim and replace the skin in Bodyshop. :/

I have had the same thing happen to newly generated sims in game and in body shop. I changed my defaults and it hasn't happened since.

I've had this happen with different sim clothes. The skin will work fine with one outfit and then look like the pic above with another.

Do you have any default replacements? I've had skins do that when a second default slipped in.

Sorry that this post is so late. The boy aged up into a teenager and the skin is now all over his body, not just his head. I guess it wasn't meant for kids. Thanks everyone for your help!
