Big show crowd in my residential lot?

I'm creating a residential lot to film a machinima in. It rapresents a big show stage where my sims dance and sing with custom animations. Is there a way to add the 'big show crowd' object in my lot without making it public and without adding a stage rig?
I tried to buy the object in buydebug, but when I press play the crowd doesn't show.

The crowd only appears only appears when a show (game generated, like simfests or performer shows, or player directed) starts in the lot it is in, a seated crowd for acrobats/magicians and a standing crowd for singers. You may have to look for mods to enable the fake showtime crowds in a residential lot.

I tried searching for one as well but didn't find any... Try posting in the WCIF forum as well if someone knows where that kind of mod maybe found. good luck on the machinima

I believe the ability to use a community object on a residential lot just involves changing a flag on the objd... which you can do in a few minutes using S3PE ;) and if THAT is gobbledygook to you, you might want to pop over to the Modding Discussion forum and ask for advice there (create menu). Or look at the basic modding tuts.

Those objects might be more scripted than that though, in which case getting them to function correctly might be harder :/
