Although we will be uploading the project to mediafire. It would be a good idea to upload to MTS, which means meeting MTS standards.
I've messaged the CC creators already, but the MTS standards apply to lots as well.
Therefore, I am asking the builders to make a thread in the CFF forum for each of their buildings, I know its annoying but it will make the whole project so much better.
So, when you have done this, can you post a link here to the threads for your buildings.
I will have to check, but you will probably have to upload them officially to the site as well.
Thank you x

Can we start building the buildings? Also, I think that every building in a world doesn't need to be uploaded individually, simply because I've never seen that happen with any pre-populated world on here.

Are you sure? I'll be uploading Playa del Lago to another site (without all the size restrictions) and unless you can post this world as a whole (like Ruverview, lunar Lakes, Barnacle Bay or Hidden springs) here, with all the CC in one file (RAR or .zip) I'd recommend going elsewhere. Sahara Rose posted the basic world on Mediafire and I think we should post the whole too.
EDIT: I tried to Upload a House from my world, which was fairly good quality, to MTS and it was refused so it eould mean a lot of hard work to not make it repetitive. I'll set up a MediaFire later and send bit to you. To get an idea what you need to and need not to do.
Best Luck

My Refusal Letter for my Lot
Dear squaretable,
Thank you for your submission of "Suburban Cemented; 4br,4ba Fully furnished House From Playa del Lago," in the Residential area at MTS.
Unfortunately, the thread has not been approved at this time due to the following reasons:
Lots - Architecture
When creating the architecture of your lot, please strive to create a unique overall look with an interesting layout. It's very easy to create a boxy lot with poor aesthetics in Sims 2/Sims 3 - and it can take a lot of practice, work, and effort to create a unique lot that not just anyone could build.
Try looking at real lots and houses in the style you want to create. You can get great inspiration on unique and realistic architecture by looking up real life building plans, or searching for images on Google Image Search (http://images.google.com).
See: Building Great Realistic Houses - From the Ground Up (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:Better_Houses_-_Tips_and_Tricks) .
See the TS2 Build Mode Tutorials (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:Build_Mode_Tutorials) or TS3 Build Mode Tutorials (http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:TS3_Building_Tutorials) for new techniques, cheats, and tricks which can help in your building efforts.
Use the Creator Feedback Forum (http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=473) to get help and feedback on your specific upload.
Lots - Landscaping
Landscaping is important for any lot. It's not just a matter of plunking down a random tree or flower patch or two just to have some landscaping, but it needs to be planned and work well with the lot. Well-done landscaping adds to the look of the lot and can take an okay lot to looking spectacular. This includes terrain paint, flowers, shrubs, trees and terra-forming.
See the TS2 Build Mode Tutorials (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:Build_Mode_Tutorials) or TS3 Build Mode Tutorials (http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:TS3_Building_Tutorials) for new techniques, cheats, and tricks which can help in your building efforts.
Try a Google Image Search (http://images.google.com) for different pictures of landscaping for inspiration.

Lots - Lot Size/Cost Missing or Incorrect
TS2
Please add the lot size and cost to your description OR enter the correct size and cost. For hotels and lodging, please list the range of prices per night. For apartments, list the range of rental prices.
TS3
Sims 3 lots must list both the furnished and unfurnished costs. You may put this in the text if it will not fit in the box provided. Please do not upload a furnished house AND an unfurnished house. Just upload the furnished version as the game gives the option to purchase an unfurnished version.
Lots - Screenshots: Change Camera Angles
Please do not use a "player's eye view" when taking the main front/back view screenshot(s) of your lots. A high overhead view which you normally use for playing really doesn't show the lot well - it mainly shows the roof, but doesn't really show the structure very well.
Your main screenshot of the front/back view of the lot should be taken from a "sim's eye view" or at street level, with the house the main focus. Don't show too much road or sky.
Please see Screenshot Basics (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=MTS2:Creator_Guidelines/Screenshot_Basics) for more information on how to take better pictures.
For a specific example of this angle concept, see Creator Guidelines/Lots and Houses/Screenshots/Angle (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=MTS2:Creator_Guidelines/Lots_and_Houses#Angle).
Lots - Screenshots: Gridlines or UI Visible
Some/all of your screenshots have visible gridlines or the blue user interface in them. These features can obscure detail of your upload, and it will look much better without them. Please retake or crop your photos to exclude these.
To hide the user interface when taking your pictures, press the TAB key to go into Cameraman Mode.
To hide the gridlines, press R before hitting TAB to temporarily hide the grid.
For more information on taking better screenshots that meet MTS guidelines (including a list of controls for Cameraman Mode) see: Screenshots Basics (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=MTS2:Creator_Guidelines/Screenshot_Basics).
Lots - Screenshots: Required Screenshots Missing
Please attach screenshots as described in the Creator Guidelines. All required screenshots must be at least 800x600 pixels individually and can be as large as 1280x1024 pixels. Make sure you upload screenshots big and close enough to see the detail of what you have made.
For all lot uploads we require:
Front View - At least one screenshot showing the exterior of the building (what it looks like from the street) from the front, taken at sim eye level.
Back View - At least one screenshot showing the exterior of the building (what it looks like from the street) from the back, taken at sim eye level.
Floor Plans - A floorplan screenshot of each level, taken from a top-down view, and should focus on the house itself.
Additionally
For lot uploads based on a specific structure (real house, store, video game building, etc.):
At least one comparison picture of the real building.
Please keep in mind that good screenshots convince people to download your lot, so please put some creative effort into what the screenshots look like. Please see Screenshot Basics for more information on taking better screenshots that comply with MTS standards. For a very detailed explanation of what is required for all Lots & Houses uploads, please read the Creator Guidelines (http://www.sims2wiki.info/index.php?title=MTS2:Creator_Guidelines/Lots_and_Houses)
Lots - Substandard Roofing
The roof on your lot needs some changing. This may be due to several factors:
Maxis roofs - The default auto-roofs tend to have an extremely "boxy" look to them. Instead of using the auto-roof tool, place your roof parts individually, mixing up the different roof types or adding dormers.
Flat roof - The use of flat (floor tile) roofs should be limited to lots where it makes sense - industrial or extremely ultra-modern homes. Otherwise, use a regular roof.
Awkward roofing - While we understand there are limits to the build tools given to you in-game, it's also up to you as a builder to understand these limits and work around them. If you can't build a good looking roof for a certain type of architecture, you may need to change the architecture to something that can be properly roofed.
Roof angles - Roofs at a steep angle may look awkward, especially on a single story building.
TS2 - From Nightlife and later, there are cheats (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Cheats#Build_Cheats) which allow you to change the angle of your roof.
TS3 - From patch 1.5 roofing has a slider for whole roof and individual roof angles.

Please read through all of the rejection reasons above! If you decide to resubmit your item, correcting only one or two of them (when more exist) will result in another rejection.
While we appreciate the time and effort that goes into making custom content, we advise you to read MTS' Creator Guidelines (http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=524) forum, where you can get information on quality of items and submission details. You can also get help and advice in the individual forums of the Create (http://www.modthesims.info/create.php) section, and can post photos of your project in the Creator Feedback (http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=473) forum for specific advice on how to improve.
If you are unclear as to why a specific upload was rejected, you may post in the Creator Issues (http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=492) forum. This is set so that only you and staff can see threads, to keep any issues private. Before posting in this forum, please make sure to review all of the reasons listed above. Once you've worked on this upload, and improved all the points mentioned in this PM, feel free to upload it again.
Finally, thank you for uploading to MTS. We assess each upload individually on its own merits, and while your submission may have been rejected on this occasion, please make use of the various tutorials, suggestions and feedback forums here on the site to find out how you can improve. We look forward to seeing your next uploads here!
Kind regards,

Sorry, but I have concerns about opening threads for every building in the Creators Feddback Forum. I'm afraid, the users and moderators will hate us, if we will open 30 separate threads.
Is it usefull to open a thread for each section? Or just for community lots and residential lots?
@squaretable
My goodness, this is a really long long list of changes!

But if we comply to all of the MTS standards, it would mean more hard work, yes, but also a better world that everyone would want.

That depends on what the moderators will direct their attention. The world as one creation or all Custom Content as 30 up to 50 separate creations.
But I think, we will see what will happen. Maybe we should upload the world with all lots and CC like all other world creators? I guess none of the world creators was asked to showcase every lot in his/her world on Creators Feedback.
We can do this here in the group section.
but still I was a little worried about my textures and re-rendered everything new. I don't want my textures be a reason for rejection.

I know lol, probably just the way I presented it lol, I displayed it like you should a world/neighborhood instead of a 25x30 Residential lot, there are a few rooms with hardly any furnishings, but I left them like that do people could decorate it themselves. You could download the lot and evaluate it, see where I went wrong (pics in download). And you could get ideas how to go it yourself. Simsample put discriptions of his lots in the comments section for Jericho. Feel free to check out Playa del Lago (the town the lot was from and feedback). I've hardly got any feedback recently and I don't know where to go next . I have probs been working too much on Apocalypse and not enough on my other projects lol

Posting in the Creator Feedback forum is not required for approval, it's merely a suggestion to ensure submissions have a better chance of approval. I agree posting every little thing there could be considered more of an annoyance.
Getting all aspects of a project approved on this site is going to be pain staking as some of you may already realize. Everyone needs to look at the guidelines for submissions (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=MTS2:Creator_Guidelines) and ensure you have done everything required prior to considering adding it to the project. If there are several changes to several submissions the approval process could take a very long time, maybe even longer than the project itself.
My offer still stands to use my site should it look like this is going to be more trouble than it's worth. It can still be shared on other sites. Up to you guys in the end.
The Mods will look at every aspect of the project, they aren't going to ignore the one thing just to concentrate on another. Projects such as this have to pretty much be flawless in terms of submission standards.
On a different note, my hard drive took a dive earlier this week and I haven't been around much til I could get a new installed and up and running. Where do we stand on the world itself? EDIT: Just found it, sorry! Told ya I've been out for a while and haven't caught up!

Sorry guys, I completely forgot to subscribe to this thread.
Cameranutz2 said everything.
I asked the moderators in the live chat, and
Prawler: For the Apocalypse Project, as the builders are varying in level of experience, would it be ok to post a new thread in the CFF for each lot or would it be too annoying?
Daluved1 (a moderator): Combining them into one is even more annoying :p

Hey guys...
Sorry I haven't been around, but, my hard drive blew up and it took me a few days to get it back in order.
Then, my husband came home after several weeks of hospital and rehab stay and I spent several days trying to get him settled in. Then today I had to call an ambulance to get him to the hospital again only to learn he had a heart attack and now further issues have developed.
I don't see that I will have time for this project right now given my priorities. I barely have time to look at my own site ATM nor do I have time for the game. Should things calm down and I have time later down the road I'll jump in, but right now that just isn't going to happen.
Hope things go well for ya in the meantime. I'll check back when I have the chance.
