View Full Version : My Review about ST

I bought ST today, but played it all day long. I must say, it's not as bad as people thought it would be.

It's fun, but some things are totally lame, such as whenever you take a shower, if you have Natural Born Performer, it'll add, "in Flair" to things.. lame.

But the positive points are:

It's fun to watch your Sim sing, do magic acts, and acrobatics. You have to admit it. I love watching my Sim sing, since she sings really catchy songs.. oogie oogie oo oogie oo oo! :)

Also, one of my favorites is that your Sim sings in the shower. :D AWESOME!

Also, if you have a profession instead of a job, it's much easier. You can work whenever you want, basically. And job experience is easy to earn if you do a bunch of gigs or performing.

SimFests, or shows with magic acts, singing, and acrobatics, are fun little shows that go on at parks and such. It's fun to watch them as well.

Anyway, that's it about Showtime. It's just a little lame and laggy to me, but it might be because it's new. So far, in my opinion, Showtime's pretty cool.

Doesn't seem like there is enough in this expansion in order for me to buy it and the laggy bit tells me to definately stay away from it for now.

That being said, you would probably get a better idea of the game after a few days play at least, to give a more accurate review.

Also, let's not forget the forced "online" part of the game that, if you're signed in to the launcher, will slow down the game's startup, by forcing a login that (for me, at least) takes forever! :faceslap:

Yeah, the songs are cool. [i]For me, it's One More Grey Day, New Glitz, (a fewmore), and We're Moving Slow, but that's probably off-topic.

You can bypass the launcher and go directly to the game startup. To go even further, you can bypass the intro too. It's cuts the wait time considerably. I'm on a MacBook Pro so according to the link, it's not the same process for the launcher bypass on a PC.

Instructions for bypass launcher is here - MATY - Bypass Launcher (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=2fd1a6fca760d8e80acb1b73c81853eb&/topic,16483.0.html) .

To bypass the intro go here - No Intro (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=342922)
