Hello, I'm not sure if this is the best place for this. If not, I'm sorry.

I've recently bought the missing expansion pack for my the Sims 3, Showtime. Instead of recicling one of my old save games, I decided to create a new one. But which neighborhood should I choose? The one from the new expansion pack, feature tons of new content, but missing a lot of content from previews expansion packs? This is one of the biggest problems of TS3. So I decided to get CAW and make me a whole new world.

Since I'm terrible at actually making height maps, I loaded the 'Riverview_Lite' project, renamed 'Riverview2012', edited to my liking, compiled, exported, installed and started playing in-game.

When Sims started to move in the houses in the neighborhood, well... Some of them have really buggy names. They are called 'world/riverview/sim:Name world/riverview/sim:Surname'.

I'm not sure what's causing this bug. Its weird that it actually says 'riverview' on the sim names, instead of 'riverview2012'. I didnt even installed the normal Riverview this time.

Those are the translation keys used by the pre-made sims that come with EA worlds. Unlike sims generated by you or the game, their names appear in the language you are running.

Because you do not have Riverview installed, you probably do not have the translation installed either. When that happens, the game simply shows you the untranslated name.

Any way I can fix this?

Install Riverview.

Or find a way to extract the STBL translation from that world and install that instead.

Or manually rename everyone in town.

Well, I installed riverview, what caused my world to be overwritten, lol, I lost my save, but as i had just started playing it wasn't such a bad thing. I recompiled my world, and started over. Now it seems to be fixed. Thanks anyway.

Installing Riverview was the simplest choice.

Glad it worked. :)
