:howdy:ok this is a lot like all the other " i put a hack in and now my sims wont stop doing the cha cha" posts.. im just posting this to see if i can find the culprit faster...... i installed a number of hacks in my game....... bad idea..... my sims where all messed up and it was acting rather possessed  ( ie the speed was fluctuating, babys where being shaken i couldnt get into buildor buy mode and stay there for more than a few secs, it was zooming in on random sims, all my wants where gone) yeah really funky....... :smash: soooooo i disabled all the hacks and tried the game again... to no avail.... so i pulled my dl folder and reinstalled the game.. yay my wants are back yay my game isnt thinking on its own...... but im a lil scared to put in custom content again so if anyone has had thios happen to them and remembers who the culprit was if i could be informed that would save me tons of time :anime:

**update**
ok so i put almost all of my cc back in the game.... works fine..... ( i left the hacks out) so now all im looking for is someone who has had the problem in the past to tell me how they fixed it.. i have a lot of really useful hacks and i dont wanna loose em all :nyah:

sorry i cant really help it looks liek you may just have to slowly bring them back maybe a few at a time and see if they work...then if they dont affect the game badly stick them in a ok to use folder or somthingand of course if they dont weed them out lol...not exactly the fast answer i suppose huh lol

Hehe, funny post :)

I'm sure you know about Clean Installer (http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/) but if you haven't used it, you really should. Especially with so many downloads. Much like computers themselves, each hack reacts differently from one person to the other. That means the culprit could be anything.

Agreeing with Dragon though, have to add things back slow. Maybe test it by adding one hack at a time until you find the conflict. Usually it shouldn't require a reinstall.

And if it's that you don't want hacks at all, the above link should help you weed them out of things you try to install into your game.

There's an option in the settings to turn AI on or off, if they arent thinking on their own, check that setting.
