I checked around for help but did'nt see anythig related to my problem. My game started freezing and then it started restarting my whole computer so i completly uninstalled Sims2-Uni and reinstalled it downloaded a few skins and items went to create family screen and my computer restarted over and over so i repeated the process and now with no custom content its now freezes in middle of game play. What could be wrong? My system is new and well over min requirements!

Generally this is down to overheating and can be difficult to diagnose for sure. The first thing to check is your actual system specs, please run through www.sims2techguide.net/article.php?p=22 to provide those.

I've had the same problem! My game freezes EVERYTIME I try to play it! I already changed my hard disk, video card,....., removed all my downloads and hacks (used CleanInstaller to clean them), and reinstalled the game about 5 times (with and without downloads). When my game freezes, all my computer freezes (keyboard, CPU, sound system, mouse...). I have looked for help in all the sites I know, and I haven't recieved too much help! Im not sure if it because overheating, but I don't think so, my computer is placed on a airy place. I have to check if maybe there's a fault on my RAM bank.

Mine was freezing every few minutes and come to find my AUDIO card wasn't compatable with the game. It was Nvidia....so I popped in a Sound Blaster and haven't had any more problems.

So, it can also be the AUDIO card? I've used the Sims 2 before in my computer, but one of a sudden it started freezing!

I have had some problems with my one of my RAMs blocks. I have removed one of them - now it is working.
