A House On Stilts
This is a simple medium sized home for a small family or couple hoping to create a family. The house is entirely "raised" by stilts, and is perfect for beach or mountain environment.
Layout and Design
This medium house has the basics of everything a family needs. There are PLENTY of windows in this house to let the sun shine in. Upon entry to the house, there is a living room, complete with HDTV, a chess table, and a desk. Leading to the back of the first floor, there is a light blue kitchen, and a dining area around the corner. There is also the bathroom. The second floor is divided into two bedrooms, which are both ready for customization to your needs. The master bedroom has everything you need; a double bed, endstands, and a dresser. The spare/childrens bedroom suits 3 with a bunkbed and a crib. There is also a play table and dollhouse, along with numerous decorations. I did not over do the decorating of the house, because it's ocupants are open ended. Feel free to further decorate it once you get it
The Two Versions (Please Read!)
This lot was created on a beach lot in a world that I am currently creating. In order for you to place in your own world, there is a bit of change to the terrain in order to fit the lot, because of the hill that it was built on. Because this neighborhood it was created in is not yet released, and I know that there is plenty of worlds out there, i decided to create two versions of the house. To get one thing straight, both versions are exactly the same house & interior, and I mean EXACT.. I wanted to show you that this lot can be easily made to fit any hill in any world. So, to prove this, I'm including a version that is made SPECIFICALLY for Sunset Valley. To Clarify, THIS IS THE SAME LOT, but the terrain & terrain paint are modified to fit in a specific area in Sunset Valley for your convenience. If you follow the instructions below, you can make the original "Beach" lot fit on any hill in your neighborhood. Please read the appropriate tutorial below for your needs
How & Where to Place This Lot
There is only really one good area in Sunset Valley to place this lot. There is already a house there, so you are going to have to bin this lot or remove it.
Then, you have a choice: You can either keep the 30x40 lot, or, you can bulldoze it and place a 30x30 lot in it's place with Edit Town. Then, place my lot in it's place. I have pained the lot according to that area, and the elevation should work seamlessly with that area, but you may or may not need to soften some edges, depending on how acurately you place the lot. You're done! Enjoy!
Placing this lot in your world
With a few edits, this lot can be placed in any world in any appropriate place. It is important that you find a good spot before you place the lot. You want to find a place where a road is placed next to a hill that isn't TOO steep, but still goes down up to 2 stories in the back. Using the World Editor button in Edit Town, place a 30x30 lot or use an existing lot with this criteria. Place my lot. When you first place the lot, it should look like this:
This is normal.
Next is the harder part. You will need a cheat for this. Open up the cheat console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+C, and type in the following cheat:
constrainFloorElevation false
Afterwards, enter build mode on the lot and use the landscaping transformation tools to contour the lot to your location. IMPORTANT!
DO NOT change the elevation of the top and bottom of the stairs in the front of the lot. This will make them unusable! If you need to, save a reference point on the terrain by taking the level terrain tool and dragging it to another area.
Some tips to getting this done is to raise or lower the terrain to where you need it to be to match the edges, and then use the soften tool to make the lot blend with it's surroundings.
Don't be afraid to transform the elevation underneath the house, but leave at least 1 square the same.
It should look like this:
Cleanup
There a few things you will notice after making proper terrain modifications. First of all, you will notice that the poles are snapped back to their original places, and that the house's floor is completely distored. There is an easy way to fix all these problems. The Poles:
Simply take the hammer (delete) tool and hold+drag from one of the corner poles and delete EVERY pole. It's also okay to delete plants or other things. Hit undo or press CTRL+Z and they will snap back to their proper positions.
The House:
This is quite simple as well. Head over to the terrain tools and find the Level Terrain tool. Find a spot on the floor of the house that is not affected. (If you do not have a spot like this, it is very hard to recreate the perfect elevation. I would undo until there is a spot that is perfect and do the following directions first, then fix the terrain) Use the one spot to level the rest of the house by clicking it and dragging to all corners of the floor (including the deck). This will fix the second floor automatically. You're about done!
The final step is terrain painting and planting. As a base, I would erase all the terrain paint that is on the lot to match up to the world, and then paint over what you feel you need. Add/Remove plants as you wish! Enjoy!
Further information about placing/replacing poles
As seen in build mode, I placed the poles or stilts on Granthes' "One More Slot Package." You should have downloaded this or else you would not have come this far! Placing new poles is really simple, and useful if your lot goes down too steep and some of the existing poles appear to be floating. This is more simple than it looks.
•To get the OMSP below the ground to host your new poles, start by placing a few on the deck. Then, move the camera below the deck. You want to hold down CTRL+Shift and then click the object to bring up the menu. Start by pressing "Down (50cm)" until it is almost below the ground. Then, depending on the lot, move the OMSP to the lowest point. You may need to use the terrain tools to create a trench. Then, continue to click "Down (50cm)". Use the following... Important Pit Stops SIX clicks gets you exactly 1 floor below the deck ELEVEN, despite math, brings the pole to match the pole above it perfectly. SIXTEEN clicks gets a third pole below the second one.
•If you have the OMSP already invisible in the ground and you want to move it, no worries!! Take the land transformation tools (preferably the smoothen tool) and they will pop to ground level. You do not need to redo the height, just select it, and it will pop back into it's place, and allow you to move it.
•If you change the terrain and the above happens unintentionally, all you need to do is take the hammer/delete tool and delete all the ones effected. Then; undo/ctrl+z and they will be back to normal spot, as mentioned above.
Be aware that the above tricks only work in a single session. If you exit build mode or save the lot, they will be displaced for good and you'll have to reassign heights.
Custom Content
To ensure the quality of the lot, some objects are required to be downloaded. This content is NOT included in the package and MUST be downloaded for the lot to appear exactly as shown in the screenshots!
EA Store Content: Note:These objects are nice accents to the house, but I would not suggest you go out and buy them just to get this download to look EXACTLY like the screenies. If you do not aquire these items, they will be replaced with default EA content. Please note that most of these store items belong to bigger store collections.

I love that font It's called SimLLHP. It's a freeware font, and can be found here, for example. I don't think it is available for mac, but if you have a mac, make a search for it!
