I can confirm that this mod, works with any ep, sp and patch level, as this xml haven't been changed since the unpatched base game.

It also works with Awesome mod.

It doesn't However MTS Rules mean that I have to put it as needing the expansion's that I have tested it on. In my case I run WA+HELS+AMB so I have to put all 3 down. As confirmed by the poster below you, it IS base game compatible

If you plan to make future mods (and I hope you do, this one was needed :P), you could always use Any Game Starter by jonha to load specific EP's (or none), as well as a minimum of CC to cut down on loading times.

Really like this mod, really wanted it, and it really works!

Thanks.

I made a mistake on the main page, weight gain works out to 7% per meal, or 14% per day, not 14% per meal, otherwise your Sims would be fat within 3.5 days. The coding is right, my figures were wrong

All 115 people who have downloaded this so far, you suck at proof reading and calculaions Don't ever consider it as a career. I'm just kidding, I know you all assumed my figures were right because I'm a modder and I'm never wrong, right?

Oh, neato! definately installing this. Just a question though: would it be possible, as a seperate mod, to make some foods cause more/less weight gain? (as in healthier food choices for sims, so a sim who eats hamburgers and pasta gains more than a sim who eats salad and such.)

Edit: I ask because I suck at modding and have no experience with it, not to beg you to make me stuffz

I don't think so - the weight gain is controlled by a separate XML, the food doesn't have unique 'fat' levels built into it and it'd probably be hard to code it that way

What grig said

Weight Gain is completely unrelated to food. The game bases it on "how long has sim been eating" rather than "is this food healthy?" It MIGHT be possible with a Core Mod of some sort (anything is theoretically possible after all), but I wouldnt even know how to start. It would require a complete overhaul of the weight system, as each food would need its own "weight gain value" rather than the current generic system.

Oh and I didn't think you were bugging me to make stuff I am always looking for inspiration for my next Mod, so requests are always welcomed

Cheers I also agree with Pepper, it would be cool to be able to make Autumn Salad healthy, :L maybe EA should include healthy eating with one of the EPs or something, but anyways Cheers for this, Most of gen.4 of my legacy was born while gen.3's wife was completely fat, so I'm saving up for a second treadmill for the basement. I was really annoyed when Kemi seemed to be getting all huge on me again, despite the fact she hadn't been overeating...

Does this do anything for NPCs? I've just noticed that with Ambitions, a LOT of my NPCs are getting really chubby, in a way I never saw in the base game. I know I can't force them to exercise without playing them, but I see them in the gym sometimes on their own. Does that count?

I should imagine that it is the same for NPC's but I can't guarantee it.

When the game creates a new Sim, it uses the rules in the "Sim Descriptions" XML (which this Mod edits) to determine various things, including: genetics, weight gain, muscle gain, and the hidden homework skill. Now as NPC's are technically Sim's in theory, this should effect them to (as NPC's go and live their own lives in the town when they aren't "on the job")

However, NPC's aren't bound by the same rules as normal Sim's. For instance, if you install a "No Autonomy" mod that would stop a Sim from performing an NPC's job (for instance No Autonomous Dishwash should in theory stop maids from washing dishes) then the game ignores the mod, and lets the NPC's do it anyway, despite the fact that other Sim's can't do it Autonomously.

The short answer is, I simply don't know. You'll have to try it out and let me know. Don't forget though, your Sim's WILL still gradually put on weight over time if they don't exercise, so if you see a Sim lose weight at the gym, and then you see that NPC for instance, 10 days later, then he/she will be nearly back to their "target weight" so the difference probably won't be noticable. (it takes a Sim 12 days if they don't eat to regain their target weight)

All my Mod's are currently compatible with the new FLS patch. I have spent the last week reviewing various things, and self testing them and it all seems to be working as it should.

I use many of my own Mods, and all seem to be working fine with no bugs. As ever, they have been tested running Baxim's EGC with Inteen3 as my Game Core so definitely EGC compatible, definitely Un-Core Modded compatible, and probably Awesome compatible but I haven't checked.

Enjoy.

This mod is VERY useful. I'm not sure what the programmers at EA are eating, but it's certainly not health food if they gain weight that easily...

Just one thing I noticed, although it's really trivial: I believe the 0.1 days (2.4 hours) for full fattening is just in the example line, and the tuning itself is actually set at 0.2 days. That would mean that Sims reach full fat-status at 4.8 hours rather than 2.4, and therefore they get 20% fatter per hour-long meal rather than 40%. Of course, that's unless I either read it wrong or did the math incorrectly, both of which are entirely possible.

Either way, your numbers are FAR more realistic than whatever nonsense EA had in mind, so this mod is great.

WHen the mod was made, it was 0.1 days. Now though you are correct, the default is 0.2 I just havent bothered to change the main page The whole thing needs reworking anyway, I've discovered a bit of a bug, which im trying to squash.

Hi sardinez, thanks for the headsup. Haven't come across this myself, and I too use HP's packs.

I'll take a look at it, see if I can do a fix, it may just be it needs an update, I haven't updated since Late Night.
