If "Output SimInfos to File" is "YES" in the mod options, a sim info is automatically output to the file (Ita_ShowSimInfo_Output.txt) every time a main dialog appears. You can also select more than one sim infos in the SimPicker (sims list) dialog and output them to the file. The screenshots in the description page show the function, which is a little old though.

I asked you before about the possibility to getting the portraits out in separate .png files or similar. You was not positive to that suggestion. You seem to have the sims name, ID-number and the portrait already on screen. Do you think it could be done now as you probably know more about the games details?

Is the portraits handled in Flash like the UI?

I don't think script mods can get image data (raw data) of portraits as well as (localized) strings. Scripts mods usually handle sim's icon (portrait) indirectly through sim_info data. As you know, the UI (Flash) uses the portraits but I guess C++ core code manages it because it needs the tight memory management.

The New Version 3.0.0 Has Been Released
Changes:
1. Main Dialog (Remake)
The Main Dialog was fully remade. Some of the info on the previous Main Dialog were integrated into other info dialogs. In addition to the sim's info, the new Main Dialog has three "button pages" and each "button page" has five info buttons by default. You can control which buttons the first page has and how many buttons each page has.
For example, if you select three buttons for the first page in the Mod Options, the first page of the Main Dialog will have those three buttons and the second page will have the next three buttons and the third page will have...

You can even select no button or all buttons for the first page in the Mod Options. If you select no buttons, the first page will have no info button but the next pages will have five info buttons per page. If you select all buttons, the first page will have all info buttons but no page break. So you can customize the Main Dialog to suit your preferences or your PC screen resolution.
All dialogs have the "x" round-buttons on the upper right corner so you can click the "x" button or press ESC key on your keyboard to close the mod dialog. The "Quit" button and the Sub Menu/Other Info dialog were removed.

2. Options (Update)
Updated for the new Main Dialog. Previous two options, which were "Small Window Mode" and "Positions of the Back/Quit buttons", were removed.

3. Career Info dialog (New Feature)
Previous career info and co-worker info were integrated into the new Career Info dialog. In addition to the previous career info, the Career Info dialog shows Over Max Level, Active/Total Days Worked, Hourly Pay, PTO, Working Hour, Working Days, Daily Pension info (only retired sim), Personal History with a Co-Woker buttons.

The Active/Total Days Worked info shows how many days your selected sim has worked so far. The Active Days means how many days the sim went to a workplace LOT with a player. The Total Days means how many days the sim went to work (both with a player or without a player) including non-active careers.
If you use my updated GetToCollegeMod, the Total Days Worked info shows how many days a student sim went to the university. So if the student sim goes to the college with a player after the Total Day Worked info shows more than 19 days, the sim will graduate from the university . The GetToCollegeMod was originally created by simmythesim but I have been updating it after the creator's retiring from updating the mod.

The Personal History info shows the academic / professional history of your selected sim. All experienced careers were sorted by the time of leave. So the first info is the latest/newest experience and the last info is the oldest experience. If you play a sim from the Baby age for example, the Personal History info shows the sim's all academic / professional history such as Grade School, High School (including Teen's part-time jobs), University (only GetToCollegeMod users) and all experienced careers (including any custom career mods). You will really know the sim's history .

4. Healthcare Info dialog (New Feature)
Previous healthcare-related info were integrated into the new Healthcare Info dialog. The dialog shows Muscle/Fat info, Pregnancy Info (including new gender chance info), Life Expectancy (only elder sim) and Doctors Info with the Partner button and the Doctors button. The Doctors info and the Doctors button are just for pregnant sims and elder sims who more care about their health.

5. Household Info dialog (New Feature)
Previous household info and household member list was integrated into the new Household Info dialog.

6. Pie Menu (BugFix)
The curfew status's word "Breaks Curfew" were added to the pie menus when your selected sim broke a curfew. Now such a weird word isn't added any more.

Nice! Dropped in to ask a question, and found a shiny new update, too!

Here's the question. Would a command-line switch for opening the SSI interface be possible?

Like, typing in SSI Jane Doe would bring up the main window for that sim?

Thanks for the update, I'm looking forward to checking that out, for sure!

It's possible but if I make a SSI command, it would be something like the Search Sims Dialog such as...
A player enters "ssi ja" (no need to enter full name) in the cheat command window then the sim picker dialog shows sims whose name includes "ja" and the player clicks "Jane Doe".
A player also enters "ssi career:scientist" then the sim picker dialog shows sims whose career are scientists and the player clicks "Jane Doe" (if she is a scientist).
But do you think entering cheat commands is an easy way for players? Why did you have that question?

Because when EA broke mod menus (some 1.2x patch i think??), Deaderpool had already given us command-line access via mccc Jane Doe for sims, mc_settings for getting into the settings, and a mod update or two later, he added mc_cheats for getting to the mailbox. Just in case EA ever decides to break mod menus *again*... MCCC users are covered for all 3 of our access points, now.

Wanted to look at Sim Info on a new one nobody knew yet. I admit I wasn't really thinking of using search, just of a new nerdy command line "back door" I'd love to see for getting to ONE sim's info.

"suggestion" only. Say no, I promise it won't kill me. (Deaderpool does it to me often. )

I see. I just thought you got some new interesting idea how to use the mod. I think your suggestion would be included in the next version.
Thank you for your interesting idea.

The New Version 3.0.1 Has Been Released
Changes:
1. Career Info dialog (BugFix)
The Career Info dialog didn't show up when your selected sim's career is a "flextime" NPC career (eg. Landlord,GrimReaper,StallVendor, etc). Now it shows up properly.

Hi, I didn't see it mentioned on the description page or install instructions page - but is this mod compatible with MCC (mc command center)? I believe I've installed the mod correctly, but when I click on a sim I don't see any button for getting the sim's info.

Of course, this mod is compatible with MCCC as you can see in the screenshot below. If not, egwarhammer (the official cheerleader of MCCC) would report me.
On the description page, there is an "Installation and Compatibility" section with a link of some screenshots. So please re-check it.

OMG, this so helps gameplay out! That's a lot of information to be forced to display as text only and it does the job great. Thank!

I've experienced this error of late. It could be a mod conflict as I run a ton of mods. I MISS the healthcare section

The New Version 3.1.0 Has Been Released
Changes:
1. SSI Console Commands (New Feature)
You can use the ShowSimInfo mod without the Pie Menu by using the SSI Console Commands. To use the commands, open the Cheat Console by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C and enter an SSI Console Command. To show the SSI Console Command List, just enter "ssi -help". To show the SSI Search Keyword List, just enter "ssi -keyword". All commands are NOT case-sensitive.

2. Work State info in Career Info dialog (New)
The Work State info was added to the Career Info dialog. The Work State info shows the current work state of your selected sim. It looks almost the same (including its colors!) as the one on the Career Panel but it has some additional information. You can see those info even for NPC sims. However, even if they look like working at their workplace, they usually aren't working technically. So the "Current At Work" usually shows "No" and the "Total Days Worked" usually doesn't increase at all and (as you know) NPC sims never get their salary / promotion / demotion based on their job performances.

3. Money info (Update)
All money info show three-digit numbers with the sim-currency (Simoleon) signs.
