This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.

Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Ok, so its not the most amazing upload ever, but it is a handy little package in my opinion. I've been sitting on this for a while. After plasticbox uploaded some houses with a roof recolor done by Neveah223, I decided to turn them into defaults. Place this download in your downloads folder and all 23 Maxis roofs (not counting the 3 BV grass roofs) will adapt the new white trim. Quite a handy little thing. The white trim looks a MILLION times better than the default grey. This also changes the underside of the roof making it white as well.

Enjoy!

Bless you. I hate the maxi defaults. Now I can take some of the other roofs out of my folder.

I had an odd problem with these replacements. The base game roofs work perfectly, but the OFB roofs don't show up at all. Even the thumbnails have disappeared from my roof choices. Does this only happen in my game? My latest expansion is Seasons, if that matters anything.

I've just double checked that and that didn't happen in my game, maybe you have other custom roofs that are conflicting?

That's what I thought too, so I took out my other roofs; problem remains. Took out ALL of my cc, still no OFB roofs. Ah well, I'll live :P

Phaenoh - This is super! I downloaded it and re-roofed most of the houses in my Victorian neighborhood and they now look clean and crisp, like they should! Thank you so very much! . . . I'm off to re-roof my other neighborhoods, now.

I love this! I also wanted the roof gable decoration, but I went to the website and it's gone. Does anyone know if it's still available anywhere?

These are great! I'd really like to have the gable decor as well. http://www.marinasims.net/?p=263 Marina states in her comments section that you have her permission to upload it as long as it's free.

Could you include it for us? I'd love to have these!

I have tried downloading these a few different times now and they are not showing up AT ALL in my game. I have ZERO other cc roofs or roof patterns....Please help...these look SOOOOO much better than the EA defaults. Please help....what should I do...I really really need these

Just download the one file and place it in your downloads folder. It should change all your roofs automatically. They don't add any other roofs, they just change how the maxis defaults look.

I tried it again nothing. I have actually taken my whole download file out of the EA GAME folder in my documents and made a new one that has nothing in it besides a few items of clothes from lianasims...and still nothing. Oh well, I guess I just wasn't supposed to have it. Thank for your help, let me know if you have any more ideas. Thanks again!

Yep, I have done all of that...I even read the whole link for frackin idiots lol and I have done everything correctly. I have removed ALL CC and MODS from my game to see if it would still wouldn't load and sadley enough. No roofs Oh well, they would make my house look so much better but it wont kill me not to have them. I want to thank you for all the help you have been. I am really happy to know that you stand behind your creations and help people like me that are having issues. Thanks for all your help!

This is something that you think "well, so someone changed the colors-how much
of a biggie can that be"?
BIG! It affects everything you build and it all just looks different and cleaner.
A little thing that made a huge difference in my game! Thank you!

Just a quick question, can this also override the roof trims on custom roof colors?

It might, depending on how the roof is made. Most custom roofs I've run into aren't made using the texture referencing method, so I would say no they won't be overridden by my white trim.
