This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
hello,
could you help me test this?
It's a medieval 'magical' fire alarm.
This was inspired by some protection runes I had in Sims 1, and that I was starting to miss and made as a sort of request.

The info

Price: 50
Poly's: 74
Very recolorable
Unrar and put in your downloads folder
Find it in Electronics/Small appliances (? the telephone icon)
Made with Blender and SimPE 0.38
Should work in both versions of the game.
Comes with catalog entries for Dutch, French and German. Everyone else gets English.

The legals

You are free to recolour, hack, fiddle with this mesh and post your work on a site, provided you post a link to the original mesh in this thread and tell me all about it.
If, for some reason, you want to host the mesh, ask me first.
Please do not put this object in a downloadable lot.
Please remember that this is a beta. Download at your own risk!

Right, the mesh is ridiculously simple. But it looks ok after some creative recoloring. So included in the package are:
The default grey Algir Rune (shielding rune) and black Algir Rune
A pretty picture of St. Florian (patron saint of firemen )
A normal and a dark version of some Celtic pattern. I don't know if it means anything, but it looks nice and medievalish.

here's a pic

Allrighty, enjoy and feel free to comment.

Thank you VERY much and my pioneers will thankyou for keeping them alive as those white plastic discs have not yet come to Walnut Grove (for you Americans, and I don't know, others? Think Laura Ingells/Little House on the Praire??!!) Thanks Lethe ; )

Now if only there was a way to make someone medieval show up to put out the fire, instead of a fire truck, modern-dressed fireman, and a fire extinguisher

I remember the Fire Rune from the Sims (1), it's so nice to have found this for the Sims 2. I hate having a Fantasy or Medieval house with new objects in it, but I also don't want my Sims to burn to death (usually *wink* ).

Thanks so much!

You get major kudos for doing a st. florian. I am downloading that, even though I don't have a medieval castle xD

Thank you a lot! :D

Even when I hide the Maxis alarm behind fireplaces it still shows and looks silly in my medieval homes This solves it.
