The challenge

A request from http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=594278

When HelloGoodbye 2007 asked me to build this villa, I thought it would be a challenge.
It indeed was, several times I wanted to chuck, but after all I am glad I persisted.
Here and there the size is adjusted to make it simmable or just for better proportions.
I hope he likes it and you all too, of course.

This spacious villa is built with traditional and solid materials but surprisingly modern in the finishing.
Your hardworking and wealthier Sims will love it. There is plenty of room to live with a family and for pets it is a heaven on earth.
You’re invited to enjoy the serenity of the more than luxuriant garden. Come and see it yourself.

I thought of bringing this furnished as shown, but considered, what is more simple than just make everybody happy and put the whole bunch into the up-load and say a simple word of thanks. There is a big chance everything will be taken for granted and no threads or sites will be visited, so;
A shopping list of the used furniture -and very important too- the sites where I got the re-colours from, gives more credit to all the magnificent people with the skills to make everything look brilliant and accurately detailed.

Shopping list for the furniture and accessories shown on the pictures:
Living and dining room from http://stylistsims.de.vu/ with the wonderful re-colours of Jonesi at http://www.reflexsimsforum.com/
Cushions in the livingroom from www.wallsims.net ws_ocean
A lot of accessories and cushions in the masterbedroom come from http://mangosims2.free.fr aswell as the sink and toilet from the masterbathroom ligne Magnolia
Bath , Shower, painting and scale are from Solander at www.pimp-my-sims.com
The kitchen made by Simtomatic at http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=192281

Poolmatras at www.shaklin.page.cx
Hot Tub raised by Birgit 43 at http://www.birgit43.de/ Hoeschbad
The wooden arch above comes from www.reflexsims.de under specials the Santani set

The floor plan:

First level:
Covered entrance
Hall way with arched entrance to the complete open living area
Corridor with built in closets
Master bathroom
Master bedroom with walk in closet

Separate utility room
Partly open kitchen with nook
Spacious open living and dining area with a view at the vide, both have folding doors to the terrace.

Second level half covering the first level with a vide:
Spacious landing
Guestroom 1
Guestroom 2
Bathroom 2
Study

The garden:
A terrace on the first level directly connected to the house with connecting stairs to the garden.
The swimming pool has an other spacious terrace with BBQ and across the other side a private terrace for sun bathing. Surrounded with up levelled terrain, beautiful arranged with rocks and flowers to ensure the privacy of your Sim

The design of the house is from Globalhousesplan http://www.globalhouseplans.com/hou...get_19435__.htm
The idea to build comes from http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=594278

The price of the lot as shown is 176.141,- Simmolians
Built on a 4x5 lot
Built with original EP1-2-3-4

Important note: Numenor’s wall hack was used.(and strangly enough because I used maxis farmhouse wooden stairs) Numenor’s re-colourable stairs

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract: Use WinRAR (Windows) or Stuffit (Mac) to extract the .sims2pack file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

This is a beautiful house!!! And thank you very much for your time and dedication! Also, I have a question. My sims cannot seem to sleep in the master bedroom, every time they try, they seem to be disturbed by music playing, the little speaker shows in their thought bubbles with an X over it. The thing is, I haven't added any speakers or a stereo. Could there be one accidentally placed somewhere. I hear what seems to be very faint classical music playing (like music played at Londoste downtown) Thank you for any help.

Hello JaCalsGal, against the wall in the pool area are two speakers placed by me. I like classical music : My sim can sleep, she also has a cat and a dog, they sleep too, even outside. But I have to admit.... I donn't know where the type of music comes from. In game I tried to change it, without succes.
Maybe it is attached to an object, I have to look and try in game.
I have had that once with a shop interior I downloaded, in game there was heavy metal on volume 10? When I find out how and what, I'll be back to you.

Beautiful house. I am having trouble finding everything on the shopping list though. Could you tell which bedroom set the master decorations are from? I can't find it on Mangosims based on the pics only.

Thanks!

Hi cwieberdink, You are the first who asks, but the bedroom itself comes from www.sunairsims.enorth.com and the accessories are from Mangosims. I forgot to mention Sunair In fact the decorations from Mango are the cushions from one set and the TV from an other set. She is very good in creating small accessories wich give the look of real life. The bathroom however, is set Magnolia.
Sorry for the lack of correct information.

The game crash, like it would not load the house for some reason it took forever . When you see it in the neighborhood it seems to have something that is blue and it's flashing.

The fireplace is in the corner against the flagstone diagonal wall but I used a surrogate fireplace that acts as lightning ( no house on fire when you are just making coffee) I was just searching for the thread. but can't find it so quickly.
I'll come back later with the adress.

have a nice day

The fireplace I used comes from www.thesimsresource.com and is made by BitzyBus.

Do you have the invisible driveway here at the site? Or do you have the re-colour rar downloaded? Or do you have numenors wall hack properly installed?
The last one could not cause the flashing, it would only show you (not )missing walls.Maybe try again - delete the house and download again and install again-. For the moment I don't know.

Succes

I'm kind of with cwieberdink, I don't know which set you downloaded for the house and the www.sunairsims.enorth.com takes me to an invalid site. In the links of your post takes me to the sites but I don't know what object to download. I love your house though, its very beautiful.
