This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Okay - after ceasing to mod for The Sims 2 for about half a year I'm back. Let's see, what I come up with... :D
I know, there already exists a Stormtrooper Helmet but I wanted to do one anyway and I think this one is a little different. It's based on a glasses mesh and it's
quite low-poly (only about 190 vertices and 212 polys). The mesh is based on one for Q3 I found on the web (no credit was given, I fear, if anyone knows who's the creator please let me know and I will give credit.)
I tweaked the mesh and the texture to make it suitable for Sims 2.
It is usable by young adults, adults and elders, both male and female, you find it under glasses. I guess you need University but I'm not sure, please report back if it works with the base game.
This should look very well with one of the Stormtrooper-Armour-skins found elsewhere here on mts2. If you use it, be sure that your sims have hair that matches, hairdos that are too big will not work, of course, since those will show.
Have fun! :howdy:
Edit: Ah, I guess the heads of your sims should not be too deformed to use this... :o)
Edit2: This works with the base game, thanks to
FightingFeline for the info!
Update 021506: I changed the package, now the helmet will go with every outfit-category (yes, including night- and swimwear...) :D
Thanks to boblishman for the hint in one of his posts.
I thought about changing the bin in XMOL (changing the accessory-category from glasses to "something else") but decided against it since it makes no sense to wear this together with glasses...
