This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
K...I've been trying to figure a way to do diagonal stairs and couldn't! Soo...I made some meshes of deck stairs but as objects...made an invisible recolour of
Numenors Recolourable Deck Stairs and some matching recolours of Numenors deck stairs and my deck stair objects...
Download the recolourable deck stairs from the link above.
How they work
You need to have normal stairs for the sims to use. They will not use the deck stairs object meshes as stairs, so the animation will be screwy..if you don't mind this then we're good to go!
If you download Numenors recolourable deck stairs, you can use my invisible recolour to make them invisible (doh!) and then place the object meshes diagonally for deco.
You need to use the following
cheats to place the stairs diagonally
boolprop snapobjectstogrid false
moveobjects on
boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true
There are three object meshes...one at normal foundation height (4 clicks), one at double foundation height (8 clicks) and one at triple foundation height (12 clicks)
And then apply matching recols...all meshes have the same recols, plus matching ones for Numenors stairs...
All are recolourable and cloned from the "bowl of plastic fruit".
Can be found under Deco/Misc - at the front as they cost $0.
Polys -
4 height - 304
8 height - 608
12 height - 912
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to make the rail...so all meshes are without a rail...you can use
THIS tutorial to apply walls and fences as rails...
