This is a house built in late Victorian style (ca. 1890) based on those in the University Heights neighbourhood in Cincinnati, Ohio. Many houses in this neighbourhood have painted brick with elabourate Victorian doors, windows, and fireplaces. This is what the house would have looked like when the neighbourhood was still a residential one. The impetus for this house came from my daughter's desire to build a dorm in a "renovated" Victorians similar to one we used to live in. (
Uploaded under Dorms.)
In an attempt to make this as user-friendly as possible, the house contains mostly Maxis content except for those very few pieces we were unable to live without: the brick walls by Spidergirl, Inge Jones' open shower, and Hysterical Paroxysm's marvellous Arts & Crafts carpets.
There are two models: partially furnished and unfurnished. The dining room is large enough to accommodate a sideboard (such as those at 4esf) under the front window (Victorian Sideboard from
www.4eversimfantasy.net; DH Whisky set from
http://dh-sims-site.com). The screenshots were taken from the partly-furnished home. The unfurnished home does contain some lights and some showers but should otherwise be empty.
There's room for a driveway, a small pond, and/or a small garden.
Partially furnished is $98k; unfurnished is $83k.
