This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS2 and in the community.
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.

To Catch a Thief...
you'd better have a fast police car, when you're chasing "The Cat" up a twisty mountain road. Especially when he's riding in the sporty 1953 Sunbeam Alpine sportscar, driven by the lovely Francie Stevens (Grace Kelly). In Alfred Hitchcock's 1955 suspense thriller, "To Catch a Thief", starring Kelly, and Cary Grant as John Robie, The Cat, this sweet ride was used in a mountain chase scene in the French Riviera.

SimPE Known Issue: The driver's hands sink into the steering wheel a bit. This is because the Alpine's steering wheel is bigger than a modern one, and I don't know how to fix this.
Comments:
This contest prompted me to venture into a new area. I'd never tried a car before. I had loads of fun, and learned a lot. There were many false starts and redos, but in the end I'm pretty excited about how this turned out. I hope you have fun with it.
Feel free to recolor, and to share with proper credit.
