Picked Upload
New Mesh
This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Well, it seems the time has come for me to step away from the building area and move into the meshing scene. These are the first meshes I have made that I felt were good enough to be uploaded. These porch coverings were made from cloning the Maxis Colonial Column and just adding the archway and roof and the second column. There are 5 separate meshes in the single download. Each Mesh is tied to its own two recolours, for a total of ten, which are in a nifty little folder inside the main folder. The colours are Copper, Oxidized Copper (green), and Gun Metal Grey. The columns are just white wood. There are two 4 tile wide and 3 tile deep roofs and three 4 tile wide and two tile deep roofs. The roofs for these do go into the walls slightly, as can be seen in the pics below. They do not poke through the inside surface of the walls. It took many many tries and cursing to get that right too. Policies: You may recolour these to you heart's content and upload in your lots. When it comes to uploading them with lots and the recolours, a link must be given back so others may use the roofs. There is under no circumstances any uploading to the exchange or pay sites. I learned to make objects and all the other things I have about the Sims 2 from free sites and my stuff will always remain free. If I find my objects have been uploaded to a pay site, believe me, there will be consequences. Consequences will be even more dire if someone claims credit for creating these. I hope you enjoy these porch roofs. Happy Simming BradySeitz Polygon Counts: Archway 1 --Face count= 982, Vertex count= 934 Archway 2 --Face count=1818, Vertex count= 1614 Archway 3 --Face count= 982, Vertex count= 934 Archway 4 --Face count=1818, Vertex count= 1614 Archway 5 --Face count= 2627, Vertex count= 2652---This is the hipped style roof. Additional Credits: Milkshape, SimPE, the Gimp and UVMapper were the tools I used to create these objects. Thanks to their respective creators and those in the create chat that either knocked me down a peg or encouraged me. Sometimes that is all we need to get things done the way you want. 1245 people have said thanks to bradyseitz for this download.
