This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Now that I've sort of started dabbling in object creation, I decided to try and do something a bit more... on the classical side.

And so, without further ado, I present you all with David: The Ideal Ape!
This sculpture is perhaps the most well-known byproduct of the Monkey Renaissance. Created by Michael Apegelo in the 14th century, this statue is cast in silver and stands serenely atop a marble pedestal. The statue portrays the ideal proportions for any Silver Monkey, and is considered to be one of the greatest masterpieces the world has ever seen.
As you can tell by looking at the
obvious imposter on the right, David is an incredibly famous statue, and has been the envy of sculptors for generations--human and monkey alike. Michael Apegelo really outdid himself with this one!
Anyway, in addition to being a decorative object, this statue comes with a few nifty features for your Simmies, courtesy of the supremely talented
Echo:
Prostration: Your Sims will bow before the awe-inspiring perfection of The Ideal Ape, prostrating themselves at his feet.
Contemplation: Basking in the peaceful serenity cast by the statue's presence, your Sims will meditate calmly, pondering the meaning of life.
Imitation: They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery--and indeed, David will no doubt be flattered as your Sims jump around at his feet, flailing their arms and pounding on their chests. (This one's a lot of fun to watch

)
Stats-
Faces: 2586
Vertices: 1938
You can't really put a price on perfection... but of course, 5000 simoleons should do the trick.
Special Thanks-
I'd just like to thank Echo again for adding those nifty features--who knew that a statue could be so much fun?
