Hooray! I love your previous ones, and these look even better. Hope you will do AC ones, and I'll be waiting for the defaults to appear too.

I totally enjoyed your previous set in my game, and am looking forward to trying these out. **glomps**

The old skins were nice, but these look like quite an improvement. Thanks so much!

HP, I have your other skins and for what it's worth, I liked them. IMHO, these are just a bonus to what you've already thoughtfully created for us.

Brava, lady!

HP: Oh, yes! I'm definitely downloading these! I love the colors. I started of using Louis original defaults, but I didn't know they had piercings, so I took them out. Then I found the nihiln edition of them, but they were too shiny. Goopy was as good looking as Celebron. Then I saw everyone raving about Enayla, defaults. I had many skins of hers in my game, and loved them on my elves and such, but those had moles, and I didn't want say, Cassandra Goth, to have beauty marks where she didn't before. Then, I downloaded yours, I liked them alot, amazing detail, but they were a tad orangish, like you said. And I, realized something else, I like just a little bit, just a little (for my non-fantasy sims, cuz they can be as shiny as they like and glow in the dark) of shine.
But other than that I loved them. Then I found Blooms sexy feet, over at Insim. They make the feet on sims look more realistic, than the square blocks that maxis put on them. So dang it, I got the matching skintones that were Louis based, whose skins I love also, by the way, just a tad too shiny.
Then I log on and see these, they are a bit shiny, but still human looking and a little less orange than your other skins. So I will geneticize these and make my own defaults, even alien etc, using the adjust Hue/Saturation in bodyshop, unless I see ac ones. I don't turn off the blur at all I just want them to have it because real people have it. I could use these for my faeries though....
MARTHA63: Actually its' SXS2... SS2 is Sapphire Sims 2, a site for, pixies, nixies, leprechauns, dwarfs, elves, brownies, elfs, fairies, alien werewolf plantsim mermaid monkey people, really any type of fantasy thing that could pop into ones head etc. (not to be taken that I don't really love that site, but that about sums it up)

Thanks for the free content. These are very good and I like how each skin has something that makes it different. I do like your older skins, though these are better! Thanks again and I can't wait for your next set. :Goes off to download skins:

these look awesome HP, you did a beautiful job on them
ive been working on a skin off and on for almost 2 years now, and it is no easy task! so im very impressed when i see anyone make one that looks even half way decent, let alone an entire beautiful set with so many shades, and different faces for each one on top of it all!
absolutely wonderful work my dear, thank you

These are at least as nice as the older Idolatry skins, if not more so, and they have such poetic names. Hurray for facial variety! And freckles! I didn't think the old ones were orangey, but having more rosy / porcelain skin tones adds variety, and who doesn't like variety? I'm going to keep playing with the older ones in my game because they're more "Maxisy only nicer" and I like "Maxis matchy" stuff, but that's not meant to detract from these new ones, they're just more "realistic" than I use in game.

PS - The Eden'ish setting for your screen shots is so lovely.

I am constantly looking for the perfect default skin set so I logged on and found this set...as I do like my townies to look like my playable sims I'm staying on hold for these to be posted as defaults. In the mean time this post led me to find your "old" skins, which I downloaded just now (I have no idea where my eyes were before and how I didn't find them eralier) and which I must say are just lovely - they actually make not so pretty sims look prettier and pretty sims look even prettier (perhaps it is the matte finish on them)...and while I wholeheartedy admire anyone who is able to create anything (and do it even half as awsomely as you) I do agree that the "old" skins are a tad orangey, so back to the beginning - I am so hoping that someone takes up the task of making these into defaults and sharing with the crowd. Until then I'll just pretend that my sims love the solarium'cause I like your skins too much to go withoutKeep up the good work!

Default correction
sparklietrails, i thank you for the acronymn correction. I am a member of Sapphire and when I wrote I knew it looked wrong, but could not remember the correct phrasing. Also, I am a notoriously bad typer.LOL!

Scrap that last "tad orangey" comment - It took me only some game time to completely, utterly and totally fall for the "0ld" skins - thank you so much!

I love these. My fave is the Innuendo one! It's gorgeous! *faints* I'm still using your old defaults, these are like a bonus! Now I have to make some sims for them, they're just so pretty.
I can't believe how beautiful these are...

Thank you, thank you! I've been wanting to try something a bit less shiny than Enayla's skins for ages. However, when I checked them out in CAS, I found a URL written across the bellies of my female sims (Demused dot something, I think).

These were the PJs they were wearing (teen to adult conversion):

I love the skins to bits, but obv. can't use them with this big ugly tattoo showing up, as it will ruin any pics of them in their PJs. Any chance of getting rid of/moving it?

absolutelyfabulous7 - The brows are not painted onto the skins so you can use whatever brows you like with them. The brows shown with them are by me, but completely separate.

MARTHA63 - These are barbie only on bottom - they have nipples on top. Considering there are addons for pubes that can match hair colour now (available on SXS2), I don't think I'm going to bother.

sherahbim - Thanks so much - and if you ever do finish that set, I would -love- to have it. Your textures make me weak in the knees so I know you'd just blow anything I've done clear out of the water.

scarletwings - That is an issue with the mesh, not my skintones - I used an area that is not supposed to be used for skin to mark my skintones with my info. You need to ask the creator of that outfit to fix it - I've already fixed the teen version of the original Maxis mesh, which you can find under my profile here at MTS2.

Well - I liked the old skins. Still do. And I also like these ones.

Jeez, people, she's not making you pay for them, and she obviously worked really hard on them. At the risk of sounding cliched, if you don't have anything nice to say...

Um. I didn't notice anyone saying anything Hysterical Paroxysm didn't already say first in the post text ("too orange-y" and "bland" are two of the descriptors I remember). All I saw was people agreeing with her: "Yeah, I thought they were too orange-y and I deleted them" or "No, those weren't to my taste but these look pretty cool." There's nothing "not nice" about saying, "Yeah, I agree with you, those skins were pretty bland."

In fact, if you were a writer and you posted a story a year ago and then you came back and said, "You know, I liked that story but it had some problems. Here's a story I wrote taking off that story. I learned a lot in this past year and I like this story better," and people agreed with you, that's actually a compliment: you feel you learned more about your craft in the past year, and the people who are commenting on your new story are agreeing with you. That's validation! Yes, you're right - you have learned! The first story was pretty good - I mean, you spelled everything right and you got your plot fixed up - but this story, wow, you even managed to get in some new characters you're pretty fond of and the revamped plot works even better the way you set it up now.

I'm just sayin'.

PS: Just because it's free doesn't mean it automatically sucks - or that you should expect it to suck. The free content on MTS2 is head, shoulders, knees, and toes above 95% of the pay content out there.

Thanks HP! These skins are just gorgeous! I have your other skins as my defaults right now and I love those as well. I really appreciate your creations cuz they also look like they took A LONG time to make and there's hardly ever any glitches or noticeable mistakes. So, I'm not trying to kiss ass or anything, but just giving credit where credit is due.

Thanks for the swift reply and thanks again for the truly lovely skins (and sorry for laying the blame at your feet, when it had nothing to do with you!!!).

To be honest, they're such pretty skins that I have been wrestling all day with the idea of using them anyway - never even occurred to me that it might be the clothing mesh causing the problem. I do the odd recolour or bit of clothing (nothing good enough to put up here, I must add) but I've never tinkered with meshes before, so didn't know how they worked.

In summary (boy, I'm a rambler): Thanks for clearing that up! Thanks for the most excellent skins! Sorry for my confusion! :D

I used Blush and Innuendo on two YA CAS sims last night and played about a year of college with them. Indeed, these skins are absolutely lovely. They're almost tempting me to replace my defaults because, wow, they add a lot of individuality to the Sims and they're very... can't think of the word. Subtle. Complex.

From the screencaps I didn't think I'd like Blush (I thought it would be too pink) but in game it's gorgeous. I'm also quite fond of the freckles on several of the skins, but Blush combined with (a well-thought-out) red hair is just perfect.

These are so going to be treasured by me, but I have a question: I went to Enayla to get the streamlight, but I don't see it on her creations. Is it in a different place? Again, I love your eyes and skins, they just show the effort and quality that is put into it.

Thanks so much!
