Thankyou! My daughter has a sim who loves skating, so this is great.

Edited to add: I'm wondering why the file size on this is so big? It is 6Mb; I would expect an item like this to be a lot less. As a comparison, Numenor's coat hook is only 122 Kb. I notice you seem to have used some high res textures in this, but even with a high-ish poly count I wouldn't expect it to be so big. Compressorizing it doesn't help much.

I wonder the same as simsample. The filesize is really to big to go into my game and that's a shame, because I really like the idea and the object looks great.

Maybe you could take a look at this again?

Awesome mesh.
Those skates would be fantastic as clutter items off the rack.

It's a wonderful object for sure. But my god, the size of it! 21.6MB is far too extravagant for a decorative object. It's utterly ridiculous! I build 5x6 lots with huge families that still use less disk space!

With only a little work, I've been able to reduce this object to one tenth the size! I did this by using SimPE to change the TXTR resources from Raw32bit to DXT5 format, and then compressing all the resources.

Edit to add: using DXT1format makes the file even smaller. The compressorizer can then reduce it to 1.52 MB.

^Thanks, BoilingOil, for reminding me about this object. I've been meaning to take care of it forever.

For some reason in my game the reduced version of this object has a mismatched shadow: a big square. The regular version looks fine.
