I've made a Babysitter mod that comes in 6 flavors, combinations of 4 options.

+adultonlybabysit.package [May be installed by itself or with other flavors]

Socialist Child Care - Modifies the babysitter resource to reduce the daily price of service from §75 to §10. This option is incompatible with any other mod that modifies the babysitter. This option is compatible with Babysitter is Recurrent if proper flavor is installed.

Bill Increase - Modifies the mailbox resource to increase the twice weekly bill from 1.3% of household wealth to 1.7% of household wealth. The option makes the Socialist Child Care option more realistic by shifting the cost of service to the taxpayers instead of just reducing the cost. This option is incompatible with any mod that modifies bills or various other mailbox related actions. If you want even higher bills, download a flavor without this option and try one of cazelfax's bill mods.

Babysitter is Recurrent - Modifies the babysitter resource to make the babysitter come every day, similar to the maid. Since there are no time limitations on when the babysitter can be at home, if you hire a babysitter with this option, there will be a babysitter at your household 24/7 until you cancel the service. (You must cancel the service through the phone menu. Firing the individual babysitters will not keep another one from coming.) This option removes the ability to hire a babysitter for a single day — you will have to cancel the service if you don't want them to come back. This option is incompatible with any other mod that modifies the babysitter. This option is compatible with Socialist child Care if proper flavor is installed.

Adult Only Babysitter - Modifies the npcspawn resource to make all babysitters start out as adults. This option is incompatible with any other mod that modifies NPC Spawn ages. Since this option was added after the original upload, it is a separate .package file and may be installed by itself or with any other flavor.

Choose ONE [UPDATE: +adultonlybabysit may be used by itself or used with other flavors] .package file to install. If you have multiple versions of this mod it will not function properly.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

I just tested this out again, and if you cancel the service from the phone menu and then fire one that's at your house by clicking on them, they should stop coming. I did this and waited 24 hours, and no babysitter came back to the house.

I dont think this mod works anymore if you are updated to the latest patch and/or have Late Night installed. I tried the above method to stop the babysitters from coming to my house(as my toddlers and children are older now) and it didnt work. They just come, stand around, and then leave an hour later with my hardworking money, with a new drone babysitter coming minutes later!

It was a great mod, but until it's updated I think it's best to hold off on it.

EDIT: You need to cancel the service from the phone services menu.

I tried to cancel the service through the phone, but there's no such option!

This is perfect for low income households who can't just skip work.

Would this work for the 1.26 patch? I hope so.

The recurring babysitter works with 1.26, but the Adult Babysitter does not. The Adult Babysitter breaks interactions for sims, Pets can still interact with the sim but the sim cannot be commanded because no interactions are available.

Life is moving too fast, I don't have the energy to keep up.

Tis is almost exactly what I am searching for... But.. I would like to have a single babysitter that lives in the house with me.. like the butler.. but only takes care of the kids.. the butler does squat for taking care of babies.. he lets them cry..

I'm running this with the Dashboard Tool and I will let you know if it conflicts with any other mods or not!

So far, no conflict with any of the mods I have. (And trust me, I have a lot!)
