I worked on this for a few days and I couldn't figure out how the heck to make a nice board-less wood floor that wood go nice with light colors. I admit, I ended up checking out some wood textures from Stylist sims to see how they got a nice light wood without too harsh wood grain details, and I finally managed! I'm unstoppable with these board-less wood floors now! haha.

I made 3 patterns for this set but I did some variations on two of the patterns, such as darker wood grain details for darker wood colors, and with and without specular options. All three have only one recolor channel!

To Identify the 3 different patterns in the images below, they are named wood pattern 1-3. I've written thumbnail descriptions so you know which pattern is which in the photos, also in-game, you can find these in the wood pattern section. Basically, the dark shiny wood is pattern 3, the one with the large wood rings is pattern 1 and the one with a more gritty texture and smaller and fewer wood rings is pattern 2.

I have to say, these are exactly what I had in mind, I'm really happy I finally figured this out, and I will have many more of these to come in different wood styles too.

These look great on floors but also very nice on furniture, especially the second wood with specular, you can see in the pictures below, the one I am referring to is on the shiny deep red wood counter, love this one.
