This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
Ever wanted a dark scary horror feeling to your home? Are you scary dark gothic freak who likes dead people decorations? Well if you are, this is the upload for you. xD.

Hey everyone, it's me! :D
With PartTwo of the Buyable Objects collection. And it's GRAVES this time! :P

On several occasions I have wanted to put a graveyard in some of my houses, but couldn't really be bothered having to kill so many people ... regardless of how fun it is
This basically just makes them available to buy in the buy mode catalogue.

There are 3 types of graves..
  • Poor Gravestone
  • Normal Gravestone
  • Wealthy Gravestone/Statue

Poor Gravestone

Normal Gravestone - yes, i know, it's spelt wrong. i'm incredibly stupid. :P

Wealthy Gravestone/Statue

All three graves can be found in BuyMode>Decorations>Misc OR BuyMode>Outside>LawnDecor

Poor Gravestone - $1000
Normal Gravestone - $2000
Weathly Gravestone/Statue - $5000

Polygon Count
Same as EA

  • All objects HAVE been playtested

The Mourn function can be used. So far I have not had any hauntings, but I cannot guarantee this. As per normal graves, when put inside, revert to the Urn.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

can you change death type and/or assign it to a dead sim?

It's hard to be yourself in a society that relies on clothes, hairstyles and looks to fit in.

Thank you soooo much. I had to replace the Goth Mansion due to the corrupted riddler tiles. I replaced it with a recreation of the Sims 2 Mansion by "Hraklis943",
http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=357339 He did a really great job but there were no graves for the family cemetery, thanks to you that has been solved.

Kirbensis, I imagine they would be the same thing, I can't say for sure though.

PlyrSiaci, Unfortunately, No. The only function available is Mourn, otherwise they are just decorative items.

Everything sucks, until it doesn't.

Excellent. I was hoping someone would make some of these.

Its great, but is it possible to make my dead sim to have, for example, that big grave, somehow? I mean, all i keep getting when sims die is poor gravestone... No matter how rich or happy or anything my sims are. Oh wait there was a time or two when i got normal one...And will sims go and mourn in graves automatically? That would be annoying...
I would like answer for these in my PM since i don't think im going to come looking these comments...

Thank you these are amazing, This will make building a graveyard so much easier, I feel like a mass murderer when I have to kill like 20 sims to build one :P

Just in time! Holloween is the end of this month and my sims are putting up the Holloween decorations up early. Plus if I need my sim to cry for a video or something, I don't have to desperately get a good angle so nobody can see that it's the graveyard that my sim is at! Thank you so much!

This is excellent. Next, work on making them assignable to dead sims, and I will be eternally grateful. I keep losing gravestones in the abyss, not good for the family graveyard.

Thank you so much for uploading!
These were very handy for my old haunted castle!
Maybe you can make them recolorable?

These can be used inside without reverting back into the urn. They just need to be placed before the room is sealed, or if the room is already built just deleate a wall section and move it in and then put the wall back, moving the lot or placing it in the lot bin will revert it back to a urn. Havent worked out how to get them into the basement though. As for changing the death type if 'moveobjects' cheat is on just hold shift + ctrl and click on it. Works with the existing game ones as well but moveobjects must be on to move the game ones.

Hmmm, this isn't working for me. I've got the 2.7 WA patch, and I'm using the EA approved documents mod folder. I put them in my folder with all my other mods (that work fine), but the monuments didn't appear in the community lots/misc. folder.
