New Mesh
This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
UPDATE 4 FEBRUARY 2012: I've now made versions of this outfit for Adult/Young Adult Women and Elder Men and Women - check them here: http://www.modthesims.info/d/467603
UPDATE April 2010: You can now get some very nice retextures of this mesh by NewOne - check them out either here on MTS (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=400199 ) or her own blog (http://one-billion-pixels.blogspot....-3-graphic.html ) - they look great! One of the many unpleasant surprises I found when I first got The Sims 3 was that there were no trenchcoat, overcoat or long jacket outfits for men as there were in The Sims 2, making it impossible to re-create many of the characters I'd simmed in TS2. I didn't really find the Mandarin coat in the EA Store a good substitute, and they now have a Steampunk long-coated outfit for men there, but as much as I like Steampunk, I didn't really want all my male sims to look like something out of the Victorian era either. Here is a trenchcoat mesh to hopefully fill the gap for some of your sims. I used an earlier version of this mesh for my Postal Dude and JC & Paul Denton sims uploaded here, and have now been able to refine it to make it completely recolourable and versatile. It has three recolourable areas: jacket, shirt and trousers. The shirt is a crew-neck style which can be used for T-shirts or sweaters. It will appear grey in CAS, and you can then recolour or pattern it any way you like. It's for Adults and Young Adults, and is enabled for both Everyday and Formal. A few examples: leather jacket and casual denims, macho camo outfit, and not so macho flowery 60s style gear. For a look in-game, our handsome model is wearing a fetching snakeskin jacket over a black T-shirt and trousers ensemble: Made using the wonderful and versatile CTU: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=364926 INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: Unzip the .zip file, and copy the .package file to your Mods\Packages folder. If you don't have a Mods\Packages folder and/or don't know how to install .package files, please see full instructions here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...g_Package_Files Thank you for looking, hope you'll find this a useful outfit. Polygon Counts: 4182 2600 people have said thanks to Esmeralda for this download. For more information about this creator and their policies or details, click here. Screenshots
