This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Following a suggestion from a member, here is a set of shades for men and women in a style inspired by the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

They are fully recolourable and patternable, and are for all ages from Teen to Elder.

For a look at them in-game, we see that Roomies Cyclon3 Sw0rd and Tamara Donner have gone for colourful trendy(?) retro patterns:

Made using the utterly wonderful CTU: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=364926

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip the .zip file, and copy the .package file to your Mods\Packages folder. You only need the one file for both men and women, as it is enabled for both.

If you don't have a Mods\Packages folder and/or don't know how to install .package files, please see full instructions here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...g_Package_Files

Thank you for looking and I hope you'll find these shades useful for your classic cool dudes and gals.

Polygon Counts:
Frames: 476
Lenses: 156

Accessory Type: Sunglasses
Age: Teen Young Adult Adult Elder
Maxis Flags: Not Applicable
Gender: Male Female

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

In a semi-related note, Cyclon3 Sword got old and died in my game and I was devastated. Kinda forgot that thing in Sims 3 where the town ages around you.

Oh no, I wouldn't like that to happen in my game - I have Story Progression and ageing turned off, as I can never bear for any of my little simmies to get old and die!
