I love the simple modern one-story homes in The Case Study House Program, 35 modernist homes by angel f. Inspired by CSH #1, I created this modern house with a similar layout, but more compact, on a smaller lot, and with more amenities. It also has the advantages of requiring no EPs or custom content. The main area of the house is open-concept, with the foyer, dining room, and living room, all separated by half-glass walls for some privacy, plus a powder room for your guests. Off to the right are two ample bedrooms with two full ensuite bathrooms. To the left is the galley kitchen and eating nook for less formal meals. From the entry towards the front is a den with a reading area, computer desk, and chess table. A lap pool separates the house from the garage, which has a large hobby room in back with a separate 3/4 bath. Three low bridges cross the lap pool to join the two halves of this lot. Landscaping at the front is formal and minimalist, becoming more wild towards the back and right of the house. There is also a hot tub between the living room and the pool. This is a luxurious house for a small family with a taste for the good life. Weather-proofing: This lot has a raised ceiling, which means that it may not be weather-proof if you have Seasons. However, it's very simple to close this building against the weather; just add some flooring above the main level. Lot Size: 4x3 Lot Price: $171,235 Additional Credits: angel f, for her versions of the Case Study Houses, which inspired me: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=296355 Numenor, for the AnyGameStarter, which allowed me to make this lot without any EPs: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=250555 Inge Jones, for the Portal Revealer, which allowed me to move the portals on the lot closer to the main walkway which leads to the front door: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=251392 The LotAdjuster, which allowed me to start with a large lot and then shrink it when I had the finished size: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=384656 The GridAdjuster, which allowed me to make bridges which were only 2-clicks high, and a roof which was just 1-click above the main level: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=327439 121 people have said thanks to Mootilda for this download.
