Introduction
The first in a series of small islands, Hammond Island is minuscule, fully self contained, lag free, and beautiful at the same time.

It was a request from daluved1 to have a beautiful and small world, with enough room for a bunch of families, and enough career opportunities to satisfy her sims. I believe that I fulfilled that request to a T. If you don't think I did, or have any problems with this world, let me know, and I will see what I can do.

Description and Information

Hammond Island is a small island community founded in 1901 by the United Simnations. Reportedly, the island was used to house POW's, but it was never proven. In the 90's, the island went through a stage of redevelopment, in which private companies were brought in to contribute to the island, in exchange for an undisclosed sum of simoleons. The result, 20 years later, is a small island community with lookouts, fishing spots, and over 20 residential lots that was dubbed Hammond Island, after the alleged explorer who found the island over 100 years ago.

The island contains every spawner from base game, and you should be able to collect them all, if not, let me know, and I will correct it.

Requirements
CC has been kept to an absolute minimum, and the items that appear on this list are the only items needed to get the exact look in the screenshots.

Sometimes when I load up a new town with Hammond island, a bunch of buildings are missing, and so far I haven't been able to load it up once without the Spa, Town Hall, and Business buildings are disappearing. In addition to this, when I try to add them back in, I can't load the saved town anymore. I really want to use this town so I can have the whole thing populated, but I can't get around the bugs that I'm encountering.

Yeah, and I can see that the smaller city hall is in my installed list from the launcher.

If you follow my uploads, you will see that my mother has passed away, and sims, instead of being top of my priorities has moved down a couple spaces, and been replaced by caring for my family, etc. I have 2 new worlds planned, maybe after those I will make a basegame world, but tbh, those two worlds will probably take me till december to complete.

I've been playing with this world since it came out and it is a jewel! I never had any problems with it and I recommend people read help forums on clean installs and cc management before complaining. Mida Test Subject Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 1	Hello! If theres a message asking for the next volume, you can uninstall WinRAR and install 7-Zip instead. When you have installed 7-Zip, save the two files in the same folder. Then uninstall 7-Zip and install WinRar. Go into the folder where you saved the files and open the first part, double click on it when you're in WinRar. Then it askes for the next volume, add all the files and browse for part two in the folder where you saved it and click ok. Then it downloads! :D

Just one thing to add to this. For win rar it is important that the names of the .rar files are the same before .part1.rar and .part2.rar.
What you have to do is to put both downloaded files in one folder on desktop, and you'll see - the first one is called MTS_TVRdesigns_1099378_Hammond_Island_by_TVRdesigns.part1.rar, and the second is MTS_TVRdesigns_1099379_Hammond_Island_by_TVRdesigns.part2.rar

Now you HAVE TO rename the second file - to change bolden 9 to 8, so that it is called MTS_TVRdesigns_1099378_Hammond_Island_by_TVRdesigns.part2.rar

Now Win rar will recognize the second file as the second part of the world and everything will be ok, just extract the first part.

Also important is that this works only with Win Rar, so if you don't have it INSTALL IT, because with 7zip or other programmes, you can do nothing.

You have my sympathies for your loss. I know how difficult it can be to get back on your feet after somthing like this.

I am happy to wait patiently for your next offering. I'm sure it will be as brilliant as this one.

pepperminttea	I've been playing this world constantly since I got it; my computer can handle Sunset Valley, just, but it's very laggy. It's so much smoother on Hammond Island! I play it with just the TS3 base game, patched to whatever's the most recent, and it works for me wonderfully. If you ever feel like making another this-size neighbourhood, with a similar amount of minimal or no CC, suitable for base game, I'm there. :D Thank you so much for this, TS3 on Sunset Valley was so dull with the lag, but I love the game on this neighbourhood!

valentinevar	I was able to install it successfully, and it runs beautifully. I just wished it had the lots from Ambitions and Late Night. Are you planning on making more small islands with all these lots?

TVRdesigns	Valentinevar, I am planning on making 1 more island, that requires Ambitions and Late Night, but right now, I am taking a break from The Sims, so that I can come to terms with some recent events in my life. I will keep everyone posted on the progresses.

Also, just FYI, one of the links you provided (the one to the Euro thing) has been removed from MTS...not sure if this is something that will break the world if it's not there.
