Meteor strikes somehow haven't happened to me yet and I've had Ambitions since release...but at least now rest assured that when it does happen, there will be glorious amounts of destruction! Thanks for sharing :D

I love these mods and love testing them all... I play with the super chance most of the time while running around collecting...and when I wanna see what "Grim" does when he shows up I will install HELL ... this reminds me of a story while testing...

Ketty was struck down by a meteor while testing out HELL EXTREME smooshed or obliterated would be more the words for it anyhow within moments another meteor hit while "Grimmie" was still waiting to make a deal with me smashing another victim in the process.... TOTAL destruction and major out break of fires caused "Grimmie" to run around Ketty's lot extinguishing the fires BEFORE returning to Ketty's new headstone to finish making the deal.

hope you all enjoy these mods as much as I do

Wow, cool. First thing is, I will finally see a meteor and second thing: HELL sounds great for an apocalypse world. Thanks!

That's great. I just tested it and it's AWESOME.I think maybe somebody can make a "summon a meteor" interaction using telescope with 10 logic skill. Then we can summon a meteor but not to worried about being killed when my sims use telescopes.

Got to love this mod. I finally gave up on my inventor because she was getting 3-5 meteor strikes an hour. It got to where I couldn't keep her house from burning to a crisp.

It really isn't much fun when you get hit by a meteor while running from a different on.

I was having a LOT of trouble with meteors before, and I have no idea why (I have no fight fighters nor have any of my sim's ever touched a telescope) so I was hoping this would solve it for me.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have worked. I stuck the No Chance file in my Package folder and restarted the game. Everything seemed fine then WHAM! Meteor hits my house Dead centre. ¬.¬ my collection of Nectar is toast...
Assuming that its a problem on my end, anyone know why the mod didn't work? Meteors are fun and all but when you've had to reload 5 times they get a bit sour

Meteors!? I knew that Ambitions had earthquakes, but this is cool! Almost just like Sim City! Now all we need are aliens...

I haven't experienced either a meteor or an earthquake, but I will go hunting for them even harder now! Thanks for this mod! When the trailer said, 'Revel in the chaos' It really meant it!

I have sat here and watched these mods be made and tested them myself. I currently have a sim that is yes in the sculpting career but not making cash on that so making a living off of meteors as the shot shows.... I have my own challenge going where I have to stay outside for more then 10 sim hours using the HELL test version and set up several diff. scenarios where I have used an arch as the front door therefore letting the damage and fire inside but the meteor has not been able to penetrate walls or celinings or floors therefore the mods have not caused damage on the level of the lets say Aznsteel's nectar collection....dont get me wrong I am NOT saying it didnt happen cuz who knows what other situations EA has added to the game. If one uses a door and the structure has walls that connect EVERYWHERE and windows most things inside wont be harmed.... something on the other side of a wall that catches fire maybe damaged or tuned to scrap but they can be replaced....

the screen shots of the funky house in the thumbnails was built on purpose to see what would happen if the walls were not connected and also a room that was not connected and was unharmed....yes it was connected by a door the door was of course damaged but the contents of the room were safe.... I should know I built the house and tested the HELL extraEXTREAM pack on it... everything else outside of that room was destroyed even my sim...

This is pretty cool I think i might install hell and extreme. Hm you know what would be cool? A remote control to call down meteors to kill your enemies. Not sure if you could do that though.

I was waiting for a mod like that. Now, i've finally have my meteor-ghost.
I'll try to change the code of "no change" to obtain a 100%/100% to obtain meteors when walking/watching space. <3 Destruction !

Woot!!
OMG This is awesome!! I've been waiting for someone to make a mod like this. I've had the game for months and never gotten a meteor strike. I'm glad I have a bit more control over it now...LOL

One question I am curious about. Could you express in a simple multiple or percentages what is the chance of a meteor strike by default with and without useing a telescope and what the difference is from the default and the "More Chance" is? I'm trying to decide which one I want to use by default after i've gotten a few meteor strikes. I am curious though as to if you've found another factor that affects the chance of a strike as it seems from posts i've seen here and in alot of other places that there are many people who have been playing for awhile and without any mods to meteors some seem to be getting them over and over while others seem to never get them.

@2joey98: this mod is not an object that can be bought... you need to have Ambitions installed and then install the mod in the proper place then start your game. Then either walk around or look through a telescope just as long as you are outside and you will get meteors and be warned they will kill your sim if your not watching and have them walk far enuf away (depending on package installed)... hope this helps out & happy simmin'!!!

Disclaimer for pic below: Sim was NOT standing in that spot when meteor hit, she was there but had her run to the road before meteor hitting the exact spot she WAS standing on....

Ok well after a bit of testing i've found out there is definately SOMETHING else in the game that either enables or disables meteor strikes altogether. I tried using all the mods in this package starting with the normal percentage and finaly working up to the HELL mod and I still can't seem to get a single meteor to fall from the sky.

I saw someone in a previous post mention the need to be outside when using a telescope for there to be any chance at all. Does anyone know if there are any other limiting factors? I edited my town and placed a few telescopes on community lots and even after hours staring thru them with the .package file edited to have a 100% chance of a meteor I havent gotten one. So I am wondering about other possible limits inside the game. Does the telescope have to be on your own personal home lot? Is there a carer or other game event that is a prereqisute for meteor strikes? Do you know of any mods that could/do conflict with this one?

So far I have tried removeing all mods except this one and this did not do the trick. Then I thought maybe it might have something to do with the testingcheatsenabled cheat. Nope. I have tried using the telescope with 2 totaly seperate households in two different towns and can't seem to get a rock to drop on my head <although once I accidentaly died of starvation when I had the game on fast mode while looking thru a telescope >

Anyone got any other ideas I can try here? Or perhaps is there a way to modify this so there is just a simple "Drop a meteor on my head here please" command? heh..

Later:....Ok well I figured out one thing. Apparently using a telescope on any kind of community lot <or at least the ones i've tried so far> can't generate a meteor impact. Only on your home lot. Now all I have to do is figure out how to edit another families home lot and add a telescope....i'd rather have someone ELSES home get trashed than mine.

Thank god someone finally made a mod for this its freaking insane! it seems like every sim I make is a meteor magnet or something. I haven't had ambitions for very long, and already ive had three meteor strikes. Once at my sims home, once at the park, and once at this random community lot.
Also, did someone on this thread say you can get earthquakes?! How? WHat do they do?! I really want an earthquake now!!!!
