Phaser (shootable or decorative)

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Star Trek phaser to Stun or Kill any Klingon sim you may encounter.




Available in two flavors:
  • Shootable - under Entertainment / Hobbies & Skills. requires the Weapon's System Mod to work
  • Decorative only - under Decorative / Misc.
It costs 850 in game.




This was my first atempt at an object mesh, hope you like it...
When set to kill it has a powerfull blast, enought to destroy a large boulder from WA or to kill up to 5 sims with one shot (if you get them lined up straight).

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

TS3 Base Game

You need to be a Registered Member to be able to download from MTS. Registration allows you to thank and leave comments for the creators, see your download history, participate in the discussions and much more!

Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).


Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

OMG does this shoot rubber bullets, silver bullets or scorch an entire square? Hehe. Inside joke folks.

Looking forward to adding this to my Desecrate mods testing folder. Going well by the way. I think I am close to proving something specific with my basic mod set.

For those of you who have never used his guns, you are missing out big time. This is a companion to what are by far the most innovative mods I have ever seen (and I've seen them all). Pure brilliance.

I was quickly glancing at the first two shots, and for a moment I thought this looked more like a scouter from DBZ. It does somewhat look like one, and then the "power level" option... anyway, this is cool too.

It uses the WeaponsLib, that allows you to shoot any sim and many types of objects.
Check the Weapons System Mod features for more details.

Rofl. This is just too cute- I love that it comes in both settings. xD I'm going to set mine to kill and declare all ugly townies to be TOS Klingons. Thanks!

Since istalling fast lane this morning, i can;t get any of the guns to work though all my other mods and downloads do...any suggestions...i've set up the framework as always...

It should work if you set up the framework for Fast Lane after you installed it.
But if it doesn't work you can try to move the packages to the new folder structure in My Documents - check the Weapons System comments - Page 13 on the 1st post of Sept 1 (a bit after the middle of the page).

Yes, EA changed the code again... the WeaponsLib needs to be updated to Late Night.

My game crashes when i click in your weapons contents thatīs because it isn't updated ,right?

Yes.
I've just updated it to the latest 1.17 patch. Please redownload the Phaser and the WeaponsLib package.

If you have allready have an older version in your game, make sure you remove all weapons your sims might have in inventory and save the game before updating to the new version.

You need to have the WeaponsLib for it to work.

If you do have the latest WeaponsLib package installed, then make sure you're using the new Mods folder structure (i.e. Mods\Packages folder under My Documents, and not Program Files).
Check the Weapons' System page for more details.

aaah i can't find it to buy it in the game =<
i followed the path but there's nothing there...

do i need WA for this too? ~.~ (can you make a base-game only version, if yes?)
i'm planning on getting it in a couple of months but until then im really tight for what i can get ^^;

hope you respond soon... thank you!
PS: i have the weapons system installed too. cant find that in-game either.

It should work with base-game only, you don't need WA.
You just need to unzip the WeaponsLib and Phaser packages to your Mods folder in My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages.

Make sure you're using the the Mods folder in My Documents and not the old one in the instalation folder (in Program Files by default).
Also make sure your base game patch level is 1.12 or higher.

Just moving the Mods folder to the The Sims 3\ in My Documents might do the trick, but you can find more detailed instructions in the wiki.
The folder in My Docs will only work with patch 1.12 or above.

You can check your current patch version on the Sims3Launcher, it is displayed on the bottom left corner of the launcher.
You should also be able to update your game automatically via the launcher.
