I recently started to make a set of detailed recolours of the Old Yankee "4 Score" door from base game (mmmm, glass doorknobs...) only to run into a major problem with the UV Mapping of the door frame. The top crosspiece of the arch was mis-aligned on the texture when compared with the mapping of the two vertical side posts, so texture details that were aligned nicely with the posts were badly mis-aligned with the crosspiece. I love this door though, so I decided to make a default replacement package to fix the UV mapping of the archway.

The "4 Score" door also shares it's texturing (and mis-mapping) with the "4 Score with Wreath" door and "No Score" archway. The "4 Score with Bow" door uses the same texture layout as well (though, oddly, is the only one of the additional meshes that isn't repositoried to the original "4 Score" door). So I set up this DR to correct both the straight and diagonal frames of all four doors.

With the original fairly undetailed Maxis textures, it's hard to notice the mis-mapping; if you look closely, you can just see a bit of dark line towards the bottom of the crosspiece.

With the default replacement package in place, the line has shifted to where it belongs, further around to the inside surface of the archway frame.

Note:
Since this is a default replacement, not a separate new mesh, it replaces the meshes of the existing "4 Score" doors and "No Score" arch, and therefor doesn't have a location of its own in build mode. Also, it will not package with lots.

Please note that you can only have one DR package for any given object of object subset; this fix will not work if you have any other DRs that affect these mesh pieces.

Polygon Counts:
104 polys per door mesh, x 4 doors in 2 orientations, for a total of 832 polys in the entire package.
