I'm so glad somebody else noticed how overly saturated the trees looked and fixed them. Thanks!

It's just a texture override, so yes, of course it is.

twisted panties and such

Sri - All I did was default replace the textures, same as I always do. Recolours can be done apparently using TSRW but these were so off to me that I would never use the defaults. I've been meaning to make some recolours when I find the time, but I wanted some basic ones that wouldn't requir e actual custom items, since the defaults were almost useless to me being so dang saturated.

Dear HystericalParoxysm,
I very much enjoy and appreciate the change you've made to the plants.
the only exception I might make is the Bouganvilla. I've lived in Florida for more years than I'm going to tell you because then I'd have to own up to my age and I've professionally raised plants for nearly half of that time. So, what I have to say concerning the Boug is that the vast majority of them are a shade of "Garden of Eden". Garden of Eden color can be described as the hue that almost all flowers eventually relegate themselves to when the human hybridizing influence is no longer apparent. It's a bluish red that seems to have faded over time. A couple of real-time samples: and a very close-up version:
Overall, Bouganvilla plants are VERY bright. Some are, indeed just as bright as the game original. I'm not fond of the original bouganvilla version in the game and was constantly confusing it with the autumnal trees that are included with the "World Adventures" expansion pack.
I could include the hex and RGB values of common bouganvilla but it's been my experience that it doesn't matter how careful I am when measuring these values, when the game starts, I'll have to re-evaluate and compensate for whatever strange lighting elements are in-game.
The point that I'm trying to make here in a very round-about manner is that I'll accept white Bouganvilla in order to enjoy the other texture replacements.
Also, I'd be open to a tutorial on how you did this as I have CC plants that could use a sound desaturating especially so now that other plants and trees are a more realistic color. Oh, and the grass... In Florida everything has a bronz-ey hue. Including the grass which is always a thick-bladed, thunderously prickly variety called "St. Augustine" grass.
As I write this to you, I'm thinking of all the varieties of trees and flowers that could use a good tweaking for accurate Floridian representation and I'm thinking if you're up to sharing your method of how you did this, I'd be delighted. So delighted, in fact that I might have to create something in your honor.
You did a fantastic job. Shine on!

Temperance Fugit - I lived in West Palm Beach for quite a while - loved all the cool plants there... I think I just prefer something less bright for my game.

The method for doing this is pretty straightforward - use S3PE to extract the DDS files from the FullBuild or DeltaBuild package files, then make a new package using the same Type, Group, and Instance of the originals, just with whatever textures you want to use instead in their place. Pretty much the same as doing any default replacement. The main thing is finding the ones you want in the first place, but they're all pretty easy to find - starting with "plant" or "tree" and so forth. It's apparently also doable as non-defaults; I just haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

Heya :D
Thank you ^^ Youre trees are looking so much better than the original ones.
But I have a question of how you did this. I tried to change tree colors myself and couldnt get it to work
Searched via google but werent able to find a tutorial. Do you know one or could me explain a little bit more detailed? would be nice

These are just default replacements of the original plant textures - all I did was find the textures in the game's files and replace them (created package files containing my altered textures, using the same Type, Group, Integrity or TGI as the originals).

Thank you so much for this. I'm in the process of making a world, and it was unfortunate how bright the originals looked next to my custom terrains.

I actually like the pink flowering tree. I have two in real life. It would be nice to have the white flowering tree as a separate object instead of a default replacement. Any chance of this?

Have a bright platinum diamond day!

The trees I understand (and will use because, yay, non neon green trees), but flowers.. plenty of flowers come in super bright shades. Few I know of have muted colors.

The aspen re-color, in particular, is perfect. It's all good, but I'm getting a lot of mileage out of the aspen, and it's made Aurora Skies look superb.

It's very late, but there are white bougainvilleas... They come in all colors actually, you can coax them into being different colors through cross pollination, which results in incomplete dominance... There are some that have pink flowers splashed with white.
