As I do take requests, Fala requested the career Jockey. You can always PM me to change anything of the career (hours, wages,…).
As I have made this career the way Fala requested, there are no chancecards.
The spelling and grammar have been checked by the spellingchecker in Office Word 2007 and on this site: www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck (recommended by the mods on MTS)
But if you see any spelling/grammar error, let me know and I will change it.
The wages are within the minimum and maximum range of the wages of the 25 Maxis careers.
Everyday outfit means you can choose the outfit yourself cause there wasn’t anything suitable available by Maxis.
As I feel giving all the information about the career is a spoiler, I hide it behind the button (I have permission of a moderator to do so):
This is an exact copy of the information I received from the requestform.
Career Title Jockey
Careerreward Punching Bag
Title Hot Walker
Description It's the lowest of the low on the track-cooling out horses after morning breezes. The mornings are early, the hours long, and you're working for so little that it almost makes you wonder: "Why didn't I go into law, or gas pumping?" Keep your chin up; at least you've got your foot in the door. Work hard and get your name out there-maybe there's a trainer on the backside looking for more serious help.
Days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Workhours 06.00, 12.00
Description All those early mornings you put in as a hot walker have paid off-one of the track trainers has hired you as a groom after his walked out on him. Now that you're here, you're beginning to realize just why the former groom left-the pay is better, but not by much, and the days are even longer. Now, instead of just walking the horses for a few hours every morning, it's your duty to feed, groom, tack, bathe, heal, and clean up after them. It's a dirty, dangerous job and, unfortunately for you, one of the least appreciated around the barn. Improved fitness skills are what will get you out of the barn, shovelling manure and onto the track, riding horses.
Days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Workhours 04.00, 12.00
Skills 1 cooking, 2 mechanical, 1 charisma, 1 body, 1 cleaning, 1 friend
Title Exercise Rider
Description At last, you're going places. The trainers have given you a chance to finally get up on the horses, and now it's your job to gallop in the morning and help prepare the horses for racing in the afternoons. Unfortunately, someone else gets the fame, glory and money for winning on the horses that you helped train. You enjoy the work, but keep getting your name out, hitting the gym, and developing a good reputation amongst the trainers if you want to ride in the races.
Days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Workhours 05.00, 10.00
Skills 2 charisma, 3 body, 1 logic, 1 cleaning, 2 friends
Title Apprentice Jockey
Description You've finally got your jockey license and are eager to prove your worth on the track in the afternoons. Unfortunately, not many trainers will ride apprentice jockeys so you're often still working horses in the morning and cleaning stalls on the side to keep up relationships with the trainers. Work on those people skills as well as your fitness and riding ability. You need to prove to the trainers that even though you're not the most experienced jock in the field, you can still ride a good race.
Days Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Workhours 08.00, 17.00
Skills 3 charisma, 4 body, 2 logic, 3 cleaning
Title Freelance Jockey
Description After riding some good races and getting some experience under your belt, you've got your full jockey license. As a young and self-employed rider, it's entirely up to you to look for mounts and keep your name heard on the backside. That means lots of early mornings and inconsistent pay. It's a dangerous job and you don't get benefits or sick leave, but the fact that you're still here means you've got real passion for the sport.
Days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday
Workhours 08.00, 17.00
Skills 4 charisma, 5 body, 3 logic, 3 friends
Title Stable Jockey
Description Your tireless work in the mornings have earned you a great reputation with the trainers, and you've been hired by one of the stables to work as one of their contract jockeys. The job isn't any less dangerous, you still don't get health benefits and the days are still long ones, but at least you're getting on horses consistently and are earning a bit more money. Now that you've got the chance to ride every afternoon, it's time for you to hone your racing ability to ensure that you're capable of riding winners. You've been given a great opportunity-don't let it slip by.

The days are shorter, the money is better, and more trainers than ever are interested in your services. Can you keep this up? You're on the way to fame.

Description You are at the top of your game, and a long way from the unsure young apprentice struggling to get a ride in the afternoons. Trainers across the country are clamouring for you to ride their horses in the big races, and now you can afford to be picky about which mounts you take. Even though you're surrounded by bright lights, cameras, and famous faces, don't let the popularity go to your head and don't forget your humble roots-you're not quite at the top yet.
