Past Updates:

I like the collecting aspect that is in The Sims 3. My selfsim's family has collected almost everything possible to collect from the base games and all the EPs. With the addition of Pets, we get to collect minor pets now. I sent my sim out one night to collect all he could. By the time he was finishing up, I was getting notifications that various ones were escaping and running away. This saddened me because this meant that I only had a short amount of time to get the pets and then find space for their cages before I would lose them. So, I decided to see what I could do about this.

Minor pets, by default, have a 10% chance of running away after you've kept them in your personal inventory for 12 hours. After that you still have a 10% chance of them running away every time the game tests to see if you've got any minor pets in your inventory. With this mod that is changed to a 0% chance, meaning you can keep minor pets in your personal inventory for however long you want or need.

There is another version of this mod that does the above, but also extends the life of minor pets. All minor pets have a lifespan, none of which exceed 15 days. After they got to the end of their lifespan, they would have another few days, 2 or 3, added on to their life. This 2 or 3 days would be reset every time you took them out of their cage and played with them, meaning it'd be possible to have them live forever. But, to have them live forever, you'd have to start playing with all your minor pets roughly a week after you got them, since there would be no way to know how long their lifespan is.

With the second version of this mod, it will make the base lifespan of all minor pets 9999 days. If somehow you possibly reach that age, the additional days added will be 9999 more days, and that will be reset every time you play with a minor pet. This makes it a lot more easier to have minor pets that'll live forever. The only exception to this is hunger. If you do not feed your minor pets, they still will die.

Just in case you don't know what the minor pets are, they are the ones that are spawned with the spawners. They are large and small birds, turtles, rodents, snakes, and lizards.

Obviously, this mod will require pets, otherwise it's rather pointless to you. Choose only one version of the mod.

This mod works with AwesomeMod and NRaas StoryProgression. It will conflict with any mod that edits the MinorPetsBirdsLarge, MinorPetsBirdsSmall, MinorPetsTurtles, MinorPetsRodents, MinorPetsSnakes, and MinorPetsLizards XMLs.

Made with base game version 1.26, Pets 10.0. Requires Pets, since without pets you have no need for this mod.
