I tried one file at a time initially to see which were causing me to crash. I thought at first maybe it was an issue with the 2tiled objects, but the single door centered on 2tiles works fine for me. I also wonder at this moment if it's a thumbnail issue, since the crash only happens when I try to access the categories - however, I should mention, trying to access the door category with only a window in my downloads folder causes a crash too. Hrm... I have overrides for the country doors (http://sims2artists.com/index.php?topic=1855.0) and morrocan window (http://sims2artists.com/index.php?topic=3394.0 see mod link here too), both by HugeLunatic. By any strange chance, do your packages reference either original maxis objects? |

The windows and doors are referenced to the AL Classical curves window. The glass in the door is referenced to the base game privacy window. It is hard to help as I still do not know what file is causing the crashing. If there is a conflict I would expect it to be with any file that overwrites the Classical Curves. Once you can say which of my files is causing the crash I can help more. |

Oh I thought I said which files were giving me errors in my first post: the double door, the 2tile surround, and all the windows. I don't have any overrides for the classical curves maxis mesh :/ |

well in that case I cannot help you. I have all those files in my game and all tested (by me and other users). They are obviously conflicting with something else you have and you may well have to choose which you want. I notice you said you had these : simnuts curved window expansion. Try taking those out and see if mine still crash. Or you could try one of my other expansion sets for the same windows and see if those crash.

I started a process of elimination. First, I deleted several items: AVENIDA invisible door and window, 4ESF bedroom 12 window, 4esf bedroom 8 glassblock window, chrissy6930@TSR luxury build set, and the slatted 2tile full window by moon_ez (http://www.modthesims.info/d/97332). While doing this I recognized a CC bed in my test lot, which was odd because it was a maxis lot. SO... I tried to eyedrop it and crashed. Next load I tried to recolor it, and found out it was the sims24ever.de.vu "teenroom" bed, overwriting the "caress of teak" maxis bed. After removing the bed, and having deleted a few windows, I tried loading your double doors and 2tile surrounds. And it worked! So I just now tossed all your windows back in to the game... and am staring at the lovely :D Problem is I still don't know for sure where the conflict lies. But I guess, if anyone has a crashing issue like I did, look for the above items in your DL folder? Or maybe I really did reach some sort of max allowed windows :/ Either way.. yay new windows! |

Aww, well it is a shame indeed if you reached a max limit on windows in catalog. I realise that collection files are popular, but I sort of hate the way multiple files in downloads kill my stats. I will see what I can do. I am glad you were able to sort it out, and it does seem very odd that you found no GUID conflicts etc. |

| greywolf3 | Leesester, anyone who makes 2-tiled windows to go with their set is O.K. by me. Many thanks! |

the windows are crashing my game now as well, which doesn't make any sense because i made and uploaded a lot with the windows: http://simsurbania.com/index.php?topic=3389.0 and they were working fine in my game before. i assume they must be clashing with something that i recently downloaded. i'll report back once i figure out what it is. |

OK, thank you very much. I have them in my game with no issues, but I don't have a lot of CC. Have you looked for GUID conflicts?

yes i did a GUID conflict first. i had some files that were conflicting and i removed them, but the crashing still occurred. i then removed a few build mode objects that i downloaded recently. so far i'm sure they clash with huge lunatics mid century fireplace. not sure why, but when i removed it - with your windows installed, the crashing stopped. however, without your windows the fireplace works. i then reinstalled the rest of the new downloads that i initially removed to test the game and the crashing occurred again. so now i'm weeding through the rest of items to see what else the windows are clashing with. i'll report back... |

Ok, I am bewildered as to why they crash though. I would of course like to fix it - there is no GUID conflict with the fireplace? |

i ran my entire downloads folder through simPE, but not with your windows installed, which of course defeats the purpose. but i figured there was a problem with one of my other downloads since the windows worked in my game before. the windows are also not working with salix's loft stairs (can't link because the site is down), and a woodforsims fence. both items work when the windows aren't installed. i'll run another GUID check with everything including the windows and see what happens. i'm really curious to get to the bottom of this because i absolutely love this window set and do not want to part with it. i'm willing to sacrifice a few downloads to have them, but they seem to be clashing with a number of totally random items, and i worry what will happen if i want to install other downloads. |

It is really odd, they seem to be clashing with totally random items. If you manage to get to the bottom of the cause (maybe one rogue file) then I will 1) Fix it 2) Make you a custom window of your choice .

a custom window of my choice you say??? if i can get just three 2-tile windows that look like this (any three as long as they're different): ![]() i will do the GUID check again (i have 17 gigs of downloads). and test each window individually in-game. i was going to do it anyway, but if you're offering me a window of my choice i might as well try to sweeten the pot. :D |

Ok, I am not totally sure what you mean, but you mean a two tile window that completely fills the wall so that it tiles seamlessly? And then you would like some variation in the panel layout to make them look a bit more exciting - right? Is it an idea to make them match up with the tiggy windows or do you want a new texture etc?

yes, i'd like the windows to tile seamlessly with variations in the panels. you can pick whichever variation you like. there was no GUID conflict with your windows or any of the files they're clashing with. i'm in the process of checking the files in the set one by one in-game. i have a lot of downloads so my game takes awhile to load. i'm hoping its just one rogue window. *fingers crossed* |

| Yaspis | These are beautiful, as well as very neat and precise-looking - and I really appreciate it that the windows do not break the lip on kitchen counters. So kudos! |
