Yet another house which was experimental and a PAIN to get working correctly. With this house, I tried building two separate sides; one on a foundation, one not on a foundation, connected by upper-level stairs. This was the result:
It worked! Well, mostly. <tl;dr technical stuff> Half of the ground-level porch that goes in between the two sides of the house is made out of foundation, and the other is made using the stage; since the game considers the top of the foundation to be a separate floor but not the top of the stage, sims can't walk between the stage portion and the foundation portion directly. I made up for this by placing one half of the modular stairs leading up to the porch on the foundation side and the other on the stage side, so instead of running circles through the house to get from one side of the porch to the other, sims step off the porch and take the other stairs up to the appropriate side. XD </tl;dr technical stuff>
This house has been extensively tested and troubleshooted to make sure everything was working correctly. All objects are reachable and I haven't had any problems with traffic jams or objects blocking sims' paths. The house works perfectly, aside from the quirk with the porch. It's also the cheapest house I've built. XD
Enjoy!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
I've been building Sim houses since I was a wee 13-year-old with The Sims 1. In fact, back then I did more building than I did actually playing with my sims, because they always ended up dying/miserable/poor beyond belief and I'd get frustrated.
Now I have The Sims 2. I actually play with my sims now, but I still love to build houses and decorate lots. Buildings and wallpapers/floors will probably be all I upload here, since I don't have a meshing program and even if I did I fail at 3D anything.
You can find EVEN MOAR lots at my tumblr! http://www.tumblr.com/blog/imisplacedmysims
Usage Policy: I really don't mind if you upload my stuff on another free site, though a link back to my profile here would be great. Also, please don't redecorate or refurnish a building I did and upload it somewhere and call it yours.
Also, no paysites. Not any. Ever. Please don't ask.
And, of course, I reserve the right to be stupid.
Thank you. :3
