I’m back again and I come baring another wedding dress! This time I’ve tried to re-create the wedding gown of Kate Middleton, or “Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge” as she is officially known.





The dress was designed by Sarah Burton who is the current head of the Alexander McQueen fashion house. I’m not going to go into too many details about the dress. However, I think it’s worth noting that the dress is so famous that it has its own Wikipedia page full of fascinating facts and tidbits.





I’m not sure if any of you guys and gals have tried to recreate a lace outfit for the sims, but let me tell you….. It’s freaking hard. And as you can see, the whole top half of the gown is covered in lace. I spent what seemed like forever hand tracing patterns off the real dress just to get it to look right.





You must download the mesh by “GlamSims” from “All about style”. Here is the link to the right page. You need to download the dress called “Simple Cream Satin” in order to get the right mesh.





The model in the pic is my own quick attempt at a Kate Middleton sim, although I have no plans to upload her. I just wanted a look-alike to model the dress…. Everything else in the pictures is maxis, from her hair to the benches in the background.
