I needed my Sims to revolt, so I built them a suitable rebel career.

This will work for most dystopian models; the only limiting factor would be the inclusion of certain technologies in the ranks and the chance cards (fighter jets, orbiting security station, bugging devices) which won't be compatible with historical or high-fantasy based neighborhoods. In any case, it is kosher for sci-fi and other real-world applications. This would work with Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Starship Troopers, Farscape, etc, but is also compatible with less fantastical empires - if you want a rebel career for your reimagined version of Soviet Russia, for example, this would do just fine. Wherever the whim takes you!

It's ten levels with nine complete chance cards, and doesn't override any other careers. Levels are as follows:

1. Look-Out
Wage: 120
Hours: TThFSaSu, 8am-2pm
With a bit of sleuthing and a lot of commitment, you have managed to make your presence known to the rebel cause - and they've decided to let you into their ranks as a look-out! It is your job to ensure that no government officials detect or interrupt official rebel meetings. It's not the most exciting job, and you receive so little recognition, but it's a good way to get your foot in the door.

2. Courier
Wage: 290
Hours: MTThSaSu, 7am-1pm
Skills: + 1 Charisma, +1 Logic, +1 Friend
You've managed to prove your worth and have been entrusted with the delivery of resistance materials. It's your responsibility to collect and redistribute sealed parcels within the rebel community, taking care not to let them fall into the wrong hands. The job puts you in direct contact with important supporters of the cause - so you'll want to cultivate your charisma a bit if you want to make a good impression and move up within the ranks.

3. Recruiter
Wage: 350
Hours: WThFSaSu, 10am-4pm
Skills: +1 Charisma, +1 Logic, +1 Friend
As a recruiter, you must tactfully and perceptively spread the ideals of the resistance throughout your community, gradually gaining support for the cause. It's not the easiest job, so you'll have to be sharp and quick on your feet - the city is teeming with government officials, and you'll certainly be in hot water if any of them catch on to your involvement with rebel affairs. The ability to detect potential sympathizers and avoid government detection is of the utmost importance.

4. Scribe
Wage: 550
Hours: MTWThF, 8am-3pm
Skills: +1 Creativity, +1 Logic
As the official scribe of the local rebel enclave, you keep a well-guarded record of resistance meetings, compile and decode encrypted messages, and distribute important literature to couriers. The work is tough and tedious, and you're practically learning a second language, here, but your commitment to the cause makes you an invaluable asset. Be careful, though. Surrounding yourself with official resistance records makes you an easily implicated, vulnerable target of government crackdowns - it also means you’ll have the identities of fellow rebels and the plans of resistance missions under your care.

5. Rebel Fighter
Wage: 600
Hours: MTFSaSu, 6am-2pm
Skills: +3 Body
You’ve proven your abilities and are now a fighter on the frontlines of the resistance. You are charged with carrying out small-scale missions against the national government and their militia, helping to stockpile weapons, and protecting the rebel community. You'll be spending large blocks of time away from home defending resistance enclaves beyond the national borders, hiking over rough terrain, participating in protests that will often turn violent, and toppling small government outposts. Be sure to cultivate your mind as wells as your body - this is likely the most physically demanding job you've ever had.

6. Ghost Medic
Wage: 770
Hours: WThFSaSu, 2am-10am
Skills: +2 Body, +2 Charisma, +1 Logic, +1 Cleaning, +1 Friend
Resistance members are occasionally wounded in the line of fire, but can't seek formal medical attention without implicating themselves in resistance counter-attacks - and that's where you come in. It’s your job to treat their wounds discretely and to make sure that they remain below the radar. You'll be using all the empathy and shrewdness you possess to ensure the safety - and secrecy - of your fellow rebels.

7. Saboteur
Wage: 812
Hours: MTWThF, 8am-2pm
Skills: +2 Mechanical, +1 Charisma, +1 Creativity, +1 Logic, +2 Friends
You've moved on to a much more delicate form of warfare - with rebel fighters working to distract soldiers on the frontlines, and resistance leaders constantly fighting to undermine the government's rule, it isn't hard to slip in below the radar and disrupt military operations. As a saboteur, you now orchestrate large-scale sabotage operations against the empire, following direction from your local and regional resistance leaders.

8. Turncoat
Wage: 840
Hours: MTWThF, 10am-4pm
Skills: +1 Mechanical, +4 Charisma, +1 Creativity, +2 Logic, +3 Friends
Putting your tact and commitment to good use, you have infiltrated both local and regional government ranks in order to obtain pertinent information for the resistance and prepare the path for rebel fighters. Keep a low profile, gain the trust of your enemies, and infiltrate the ranks, and you may very well pave the way for a successful revolution.

9. Local Resistance Leader
Wage: 1000
Hours: MTWThF, 9am-3pm
Skills: +5 Charisma, +2 Creativity, +1 Logic, +3 Friends
You lead the local chapter of the resistance movement - every local courier, scribe, fighter, medic, saboteur, and turncoat is under your command, and it is your responsibility to maintain a strong rebel presence in your sector.

10. Regional Resistance Leader
Wage: 1200
Hours: MTWThF, 9am-3pm
Skills: +7 Charisma, +3 Creativity, +7 Logic, +6 Friends
You're at the top of the pyramid now. You lead the regional division of the resistance movement. The struggle to oversee all resistance missions throughout the empire may seem daunting, but you must remember that a successful uprising also requires consistence: it is imperative that you continue to unite all resistance movements throughout each sector of the nation and work to maintain a unified rebel cause. Dissent and chaos in the lower ranks is a constant threat which must be handled swiftly and delicately.

Hope y'all get some use out of this. It's my first attempt at writing a career. I will be uploading related careers (such as the “national militia service” meant to compliment this one) with chance cards that coincide with the chance cards for this one, and when combined, help to give a more engaging and interesting overview of your given neighborhood (and it's internal conflicts) - so keep an eye out for those!

Thanks to Superfly for tutorials and Klaartje68 for helping me troubleshoot a problem I was having!
