How did you make these packages?

How can you only replace one? I like one and hate the rest. So what do I do?

Using SimPE's version 0.58.2.20950 (downloaded on 10/22/06) there is no Texture Image option as stated in your step 4. Please advise.

Play Sims with others. Share stories and lots. Rotations every 2 weeks. Fun and friendly. Give it a try. www.freewebs.com/sim_swap/

Can't seem to access the SimPE page for downloading. Is it down permanently and if so how do we get the program?

Thank you very much for this. I can't wait to make my own sets of default replacements!

Thanks for sharing this!
I realize this replaces the random pictures that the sims paint but I found it easier to get around the ugly paintings by doing this: When creativity is high enough, an option appears to paint "custom" paintings and I've just been replacing the jpeg pictures in the "paintings" file folder with whatever I want my sims to paint and it seems to work fine so long as they are close to the dimensions....
A little easier than messing around with SimPE as it's all gobbleygook to me Also I have been putting as many or as few pictures in the "paintings" folder as I want, there appears to be no limit of 12 ..... I put the jpeg files here:

maskeysims I believe some EPs are required to have access to that function. The first time I saw that was with Pets, but if you don't have it, I think you need at least one EP or SP that has been released later to that.

Can you help me, please? The pictures did not appear in my game. So my sims are still drawing their ugly "masterpieces"...

Thank you! This is a brilliant idea! Now I don't have to cheat my Sims up to level 5 before they could start painting

Yay, these are amazing.
I cannot for the life of me figure out SimPE so the fact that I like these pictures makes it even better.
Thank you!

Thankyou! I've managed to do it and now I have super cute paintings in my game!
I did however have a bit of trouble working part of it out, and thought I'd just post how I worked out my problem here incase anyone else is stupid in SimPE like me or had the same problem.

When I opened the file, for example the "replace_painting_lovelyelf" file from the download up there ^ in simpe, I could see the 'Texture Image' thing in the resource tree, however when I clicked it, no preview file came up. Eventually, after playing around I found the preview by clicking 'Tools -> Object Tools -> Scenegrapher, then selecting the small preview I saw there, clicking 'open' (which is near the bottom of the box), and then I got the preview and could continue with the tutorial as instructed.

Who knows, maybe I just have no idea how to use SimPE and there is an easier way to get the preview, but I dunno, this works for me

Huzzah! After all these years of having the game I have finally got sick of seeing that crappy pink lady painting. Only that painting mind you. I don't mind the rest. Now I can finally replace it. Probably with something just as crappy as its the first thing my Sims ever paint, but something less painful to the eye.

For people trying to find the texture image in SimPE you first have to click on it in the left hand box under the 'resource tree' and then you have to click on it again when it appears in the larger box to the right. THEN the picture should appear in the plugin view at the bottom of the screen.
